Very, Spoiler although Xero would say Richard Farnsworth who played Alvin Straight had had an incredible and long film career. @11:55 talking about his role in this movie.
I think Blue Velvet is his best work but Mulholland Drive is pretty good. And not just for A lot of exposure for Naomi Watts but that certainly adds to it. Lost Highway and Wild at Heart feel too disjointed to me. The Straight Story is a beautiful movie. It’s definitely a departure for Lynch but really shows his craft. I like Dune and in some ways I think it’s better than than the Villanueva Dune. It changes the story in too many ways though that aren’t helpful but the look and atmosphere of it I think is very unique. It would’ve been interesting to think about what Lynch could’ve done if he had the type of special effects technology as now.
Mullholland Dr. is one of my favorite movies ever. The only time where his disjointed weirdness somehow seemed to click. All of his other movies are bordering on unwatchable IMO. Twin peaks was decent.
Third season of Twin Peaks ruled. Hope he and Frost can finish a 4th season cause I gotta know where that cliffhanger leads
Agree on Mulholland Dr. I've watched it multiple times. It's a movie you think about a lot after watching it (well, at least for me that was the case).
