    Facts:
    1) The raining of the threes in the first quarter is not sustainable.
    2) Alpi looked disinterested in the defensive end if he wasn't involved in the offense.
    3) Jabari Smith is kind of sloppy creating his own shots.

The best case scenario is that Alpi was able to incorporated into the starting lineup, and he can cover JS's weakness while JS cover Alpi's weakness.
If Alpi cannot, we push him back to the bench, then we win by shooting threes, and die by shooting threes until we tank our way to get WM. (Maybe we should rehire Mike D'Toni if that's the case)

I think people are overreacting in both ways. Al-P is far from our best player, but he's pretty good at what he did for a twenty year old athlete. Also, Please, for the god's sake, next time please create a title like "Sengun simply not good enough for a starter" or "Sengun simply not good enough for an all star" or "Tari Eason is better than Sengun". Otherwise, the title on this thread is pretty bogus because most of our guys are in the early 20s and they are simply not good enough. You are not on a Youtube logarithm so there's not need to set up a "Click-bait".

Jabari and Eason if they develop will help a lot to cover for Sengun, but like i said, bad center defense is still gonna be virtually impossible to overcome

Spot on! Centers like that are getting played out of this league and off the floor in certain situations. Only way it works is if they’re a superstar

Even Jokic has had some trouble, and it's almost impossible that Alpi will be as good on defense as Jokic. Of course, Jokic is a top 5 offensive player ever and possible even higher then that so your team will be much better when he's there, but even he has had trouble

Absolutely! Another example is Sabonis. Even having MT, the leading shot blocker in the nba couldn’t cover up for it. That’s why they shipped Sabonis to the kings. It just doesn’t work!!!

Seeing this board go apeshit after Sengun has a bad preseason game is hilarious lol

The kid is younger than Eason. People need to put their seats back and let this kid's body mature. He also spent the entire offseason playing for his national team. Did any of y'all watch him play this summer. He's going to be fine once our trainers get him back on track.

How's a mid-range or 3 ball gonna help him defend anyone?

His offense isn't the problem despite shooting .248 from 3-point range.

It's his defense that has to improve by leaps and bounds

If he’s a 40% on high volume 3 pt shooter, it would make him so good on offense that it can cover somewhat for the defense. Obviously the mid range stuff is irrelevant/worthless

It's funny to see folks who say they "like" sengun but have knee jerk reactions like this.

When op is saying: Trade him while his value is high, it’s a waste of time.

@maj21 u don't have to lie about liking sengun.

And as i said before double d is a hypocrite. Once more he is still defending kpj as our pg of the future and preaches patience and what not. Man is already dismissing sengun bc of his lack of physical attributes. Hell hes has already mentions trading him.

We aren't trading sengun for a 1st round pick. It's way too early, to give up on him.

The sht I seen on the first few pages is hilarious. I seen one poster gives him a comp of omer asik pfffft.

Learn from boobythegreat and try not to knee jerk negatively on a preaseason game of all things. Folks will b put on notice when sengun comes around.

Sengun is an extremely smart lad at 20 years old, I definitely can see him playing an important role for our team.

Dude, it is all about athleticism - KPJ has it, Sengun does not.

Not half the time, but occasionally and most of them are spot on.....

Sengun has court vision while kpj does not. But since u like kpj more, "he can learn it" just like harden pfffffft.

WRONG...KPJ has great court vision and so does Sengun.....but you run an offense through KPJ, not Sengun

Nah u are really a kpj fan if u think kpj court vision is on the same level as sengun. The only reason we run the offense through kpj is bc he's not skilled enough to run half court offense since he lack court vision

At the rate we are going, sengun will eventually b the big man off the bench due to our current pg ability or lack of.

You can run an offense through kpj no doubt, but can you run a good one? Thus far, that’s a resounding no

You know what, it is cool if you guys love Sengun and think you can build a team around him.

I don't agree, but I can appreciate your fandom.

He's still learning got to b patient like dd has mentioned.

But green was a whiff after a few games and sengun lacks athleticism so we should trade his @$$.

I can see if folks aren't confident that sengun can handle big physical centers, that's reasonable since sengun is still young. I just can't stand kpj defenders defend kpj and excuse all of his shortcoming while not doing the same for the other rockets.

I mean at the end of the day, if the kpjs and senguns of the world end up being long term starters that would be a massive win. Both have massive shortcomings so the odds are against both, but we can hope!

Hedo Turkoglu grew 2 inches in his first year in the NBA. The change was visible.
    He was 24.
    Alpi is 20.
Feed him Potassium, water him generously, put a UV lamp above his bed and voila.
