This may be insensitive but I don’t like how Kerr will literally cry on mic when someone dies by a police officer or demand all assault rifles banned after a shooting but cares more about the video leaks when draymond damn near breaks his players face I only say this because I had a friends who hit his head on the concrete after a fight and he had brain swelling and bleeding and spent months in the hospital. Getting hit like that is unbelievably dangerous **** sets a terrible example for kids too. All the old heads trying to sound tough like this is what happens and if you got in their face they’d do the same thing. Patrick Beverly the only one saying there is no excuse for fist to be thrown to a teammate
State of California could charge Draymond if they want to (with or without Poole's consent). "At Eisner Gorin, one of the most common misconceptions which we encounter in speaking with potential clients and their family members is that a crime victim must “press charges” in order for a prosecution to be initiated against a defendant. This is completely understandable as movies and television dramas are replete with scenes where a detective or prosecutor speaks with a victim and either asks the victim whether he or she is “pressing” charges, or expresses frustration that the government's hands are tied because the victim “won't press the charges.” This is simply incorrect. The first issue is one of nomenclature – there is no legal significant to the term “press,” or “pressing.” In other words, victims don't decide when charges are filed in a criminal case. When someone was harmed by the conduct of another person, it could be considered criminal conduct if it done with intent to commit an illegal act, or inflict harm on the victim. ..." https://www.egattorneys.com/criminal-case-process-california/filing-charges https://www.shouselaw.com/ca/defense/penal-code/240/ "Penal Code 240 PC defines the crime of assault as “an unlawful attempt, coupled with a present ability, to commit a violent injury on the person of another.” Simple assault is a misdemeanor offense punishable by up to 6 months in jail and fines of up to $1000.00."
Super hypocritical. Instead of accountability and openness that he demands from public official, his values change to tradition/culture and internal policing. The man is acting as if he and his organization is special (even as he is saying that they are not perfect). California for ya (sorry to stereotype).
People mostly see punching in movies. Movie characters get repeatedly punched and only get a few bruises. In real life, one punch can break something vital in the person's head or even kill him.
Literally said “I will give draymond the benefit of the doubt this won’t happen again” The team should give him minimum 10 game suspension
Am I missing something here? Your quote from Kerr only has him stating that both Draymonds actions and the leak were BOTH problems. He didn't rank one as more serious or less serious than the other as you are suggesting. IMO he should've stated Draymonds action were obviously worst, but for whatever reason he didn't want to rank them. Theirs plenty of things to criticize, Kerr and the Warriors for, ie Draymonds punishment, their handling of Greens past behavior, the hole break the code hypocrisy by Kerr etc without needing to embellish.
The only thing I kept hearing from Kerr the days following were about the leaks. It wasn’t until he caught a little heat from being more worried about the leaks than the acts of violence did I hear him back peddle. Pretty sure at first he brushed it off as “this is what happens between competitive teammates, but these leaks are unacceptable and we’ll fire whoever did it” Kerr already let me know he’s full of ****. Crying on mic over every little social issue. That was probably the most violent punch I’ve seen get thrown at someone but Kerr will give him the benefit of the doubt.
Reading this reminded me of this: Andy Dufresne: I'm done. Everything stops. Get someone else to run your scams. Warden Samuel Norton: [icy] Nothing stops. Nothing... or you will do the hardest time there is. No more protection from the guards. I'll pull you out of that one-bunk Hilton and cast you down with the Sodomites. You'll think you've been ****ed by a train! And the library? Gone... sealed off, brick-by-brick. We'll have us a little book barbecue in the yard. They'll see the flames for miles. We'll dance around it like wild Injuns! You understand me? Catching my drift?... Or am I being obtuse?
Not surprised by what happened here with the Donkey - he is a terrible human being and sucks at life.
Oh nice, warriors keep trying to brush it under the rug again. A great season from Draymond will definitely make us forget.
“I’m told that the Warriors put significant weight on the fact that opening night is also ring night and the hanging of the Warriors 2022 championship banner,” he said. “And they simply weren’t gonna measure that as a one-out-of-82-game suspension, that if this incident had landed in the middle of the regular season, there’d probably be a suspension. If the Warriors weren’t defending champions and were just playing an ordinary opening night, there might very well be a suspension.”
Good punishment. It's like that kid who gets to go to the theme park because he already had it planned before he gets grounded.
And people on this board actually rooted for these assholes during the harden years. I always saw through these league protected smucks
