ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Heat 10/10/2022 (Preseason)

Not many teams have Pat Riley and Coach Spo as culture mainstays.

 

I haven't watched the game yet - will watch later tonight, but ... I was hoping we'd play better against their backups. lol. Oh well.

JC was crushing it that quarter.

 

Sengun needs to cut down on his fouling this season.

 

He's a garbage time hero, just like Boban.

 

Don’t do it Dr or at least not the second half.

 

Value the basketball !

 

Eh, it may be a reality check. I'm still waiting to see what we do in the real season with our entire lineup against other teams' entire lineups. Then I'll see how excited I should be about the next draft. lol.

 

I know he got hot at the end of the game but I didn’t like what I saw from JC today.

He has major tunnel vision on his drives. The few times he does look to give it up its a telegraphed pass right into the arms of a waiting defender.

I like how fearless he is on his drives but he needs some serious seasoning. I would love to see him play exclusively at PG in the G-League this season. I DON’T see a future for him as a PG in the League but I want him to develop better habits as it relates to knowing where his teammates are on his drives.

 

The Heat have better shooting than us and they are more physical. I was disappointed in Matthews and Christopher.

We need that player that is deadly from 3

 

I think he plays better with better players. If the other guys on the floor are not as good he tends to try and take over. As the team improves I think he will do more of what you are saying.

 

Matthews should be cut! I hate to say it but one more year of tanking to try to get a franchise big. Sooo frustrating to see Heat 2nd & 3rd stringers just chuck it up & in! :-(

 

Jalen, Jabari, EG and KPJ are all capable shooters.

 

Honestly, that's fair criticism.

 

Listening to Lucas, Green and KPJ were great tonight, Tari was exceptional but he's young, Sengun is having to play a DIFFERENT style of game, which is what I said earlier.

His game is going to be SACRIFICED for the betterment of the team....can he accept that role or would it be better to find him a team that fit him?

IT'S GOING TO BE INTERESTING

 

Easy E's stat line looks great again. Maybe I'll focus on him when I watch the game.
