I cant help but think that Bron is on a timer.
Meaning, its just a matter of time before the Lakers product on the court gets bad enough that Bron gets vocal.

Now, the pain has begun with a blowout loss to the Kings.
Yea, yea, pre-season bla bla. Its how they played. If they continue lousy play, things are going nuclear in L.A.

 

Look at the roster on the box score. It's straight up garbage in totality.

they have plenty of depth in the back court now with the additions of bev, schroder, and nunn being back. All being better options than him for the team

he can stay on the lakers for all i care but he's a huge reason why they suck. dudes been a loser for years including here in houston, and continues to just get worse and worse

 

LeBron's effort and awareness really isn't that much better on this play. It's preseason, I'm not going to be killing them for not locking down, as funny as the clip is.

Westbrook used to be a 80% free throw shooter, and had his moments from midrange

his deterioration in skill from shooting to ball handling is crazy

every time he dribbles, it’s like the ball is about to pop loose…he plays like he’s lost feeling in his hands or something

I see Russ is still in his own world and that nothing has changed nor is likely to.

 

Which is why you almost always have to take what NBA players say about their own and others abilities with a huge grain of salt.

 

Rewatched the clip, and wow. You weren't kidding.

Both Westbrook and LeBron lose their respective defensive assignments, but at least Russ sprints back to try and contest Huerter at the rim. LeBron sees Fox at the 3 point line and doesn't even move.

You don't have to lock down in the preseason, but at least take a step or two towards the man you're assigned to defend for this single possession. Bron wasn't even tricked or switched off or anything. Just didn't even try.

Guarantee if this happened in a game where it counts, LeBron would be making a stinkface towards one or more of his four teammates on the court, even though it was his fault.

 

From the comments on that twitter thread, this was Russ' only defensive lapse of the whole game, so that's something. Rightfully so, a lot of people are getting on LeBron lol
