All 4 series may be 2 and done with 3 road teams claiming victory.

Mets better get a much bigger lead, something tells me Diaz is gonna melt down being asked to extend himself.

This is how special these Astros players are and have been. The Blue Jays seem to have a similar core group of young and hungry players but can't seem to put it all together consistently.

It's not just first round draft picks and free agent signings, but the makeup of the team's character in all.

the Game 2 starter should have a short rope, regardless of who wins game 1. In a short series, manage each game as a must win. If LMJ isn’t sharp, Javier can come in and give you three plus innings. Garcia and Brown can go multiple. There is no reason to be shy about pulling a pitcher. Our pitching depth is a huge advantage and we must use it.

Padres reliever. 25 pitches. 23 fastballs. Like 17 fouled off. Now bases are full. This dude needs 2 more pitches desperately....jeebus.

And just like that the Pads do the impossibly stupid and leave him in.

Mets will be without the services of their 2 best relief pitchers tomorrow, Ottovino and Diaz. Well at least Ottovino, and Diaz might not be effective after throwing nearly 30 pitches.

    They are likely cooked.

Anybody know why the Phillies have the equivalent of Maton trying to close this game?

It worked, but where was Robertson or even Brad Hand?

    Baffling.

Anyone else noticed the hats for the winning teams have been the really super cheap quality ones? Normally you see better hats.

Possibly McCullers vs. Castillo if we are talking game 2.

Man, there are some ignorant posts in here.

All I can say is, let me introduce you to baseball...?

Mariners are certainly a worthy opponent and we'll have to play well to beat them.
