The lighting, the mirrors and the subtly changing features of the show have me thinking: Spoiler We're watching two simultaneous timelines
Solid Theory. To puzzle it out we might need to plot what happens under one version of the gate vs what happens when they show another version of the gate. Checking the clothing and possibly the personalities. There are at least three gate changes on memory, one in the last two episodes, but there may be more. One thing I want to check into now, about your two timelines, was if the rodeo had two endings. One where Rhett wins. And one where he loses. It feels continuous when watching, but it's entirely possible those were two entirely different endings because Rhett looks over at the little girl two different times, but in the exact same way. One time she's there. One time she's not. Could just be two different rides in the same rodeo. But I'm not so sure now. And I would ask myself, why would he leave town if he wins...But he decides to leave, so not sure that adds up. It probably makes more sense to leave if he loses.
After completing the season, I stand by my previous review. Too much hollywood drama; not enough supernatural content I really want to enjoy this show.
BY9... I got another f'd up idea... Thinking about mirror images...BY9 almost becomes RYB. Really close anyway. This is Red Yellow Blue for the color wheel folks. The exact same colors in the logo for BY9 mining company. Red Yellow Blue. Now if you think about the colors. Red has been overlooked. But Autumn is wearing red a lot more than anyone has noticed. She's wearing Red almost exclusively in the last two episodes. You wanna take it even further. The overlap of the color wheel colors forms the exact shape you would get if you overlapped the Tiller Brand "T" with the Abbott Brand "A". A six sided star. And look there in the center at what you get. Yep. It's madness. But there you go.
More absurd on Amazon Prime Video..."Outer Range" or "Night Sky"? Albeit, I'm only through the first episode of "Night Sky" and I was just like WTF?
I checked out Night Sky last night. Amazon really has the market cornered on Seniors Traveling Through Wormholes. Man in the High Castle, Open Range, Night Sky. Next they'll reboot Cocoon with teleportation.
You forgot about Counterpart. Night Sky ending was meh. Series overall was pretty good. My only gripe other than the ending is, if you're gonna hire Sissy Spacek and have her sing a song in the car, how can that song not be Coal Miners Daughter?
I watched the whole first season and liked. I liked the twists in it but from reading this thread I might need to watch it again to pick up on all the things brought up here.
I tried to enjoy the first season. It had a lot going for it. But it lost its course, showing way too much standard Hollywood drama and not enough supernatural stuff.
Excited for more of this show. I really hope they had the story all lined out with finish included before they started.
