Post is pretty much the only major media outlet that has been investigating the story and then reporting on it

Yes, and their risk/reward for picking it up is different than the WSJ's.

It's not a slam dunk despite whatever claims from the right or half baked press conferences Rudy Guiliani ran when the narrative went big the first time around.

They could be onto something, but the leaked vids that served as "proof" (...for the laptop's authenticity) have been purposefully damaging yet not incriminating.

And a broken clock is right twice a day.

I think any moderate would look at the NYPost’s history and see if they have a history of credibility.

Good. Arrest him so the right loses their weird sad talking point while their actual politicians are committing crimes.

They are even throwing our republican friends a bone.

Given the intense political interest in a criminal probe involving the son of a sitting president, Attorney General Merrick Garland has made clear that the U.S. Attorney in Delaware, David C. Weiss, who was nominated by Trump in late 2017, is supervising the case.

A trump appointee is overseeing the case, you can't ask for more impartiality from the sitting president's justice department. They caught the son of a b****, they caught him.

If his dad is guilty of anything, I hope he does.

So the Biden appointed Attorney General is going to file charges against Biden’s son and the Attorney General is having a Republican appointee investigate it and pursue it?

Sounds like the Biden administration is actually doing what it is supposed to… a far cry from the prior administration.

I’m glad to see the DOJ is handling this the right way.

Even if Hunter Biden is convicted of tax evasion my guess is few Republicans will give credit. There will be Republicans spin it and claim that this was part of a deal to keep him from testifying to more serious crimes involving his father.

Agreed, this is how you handle it, if he is guilty he should be prosecuted, I don't know enough about the tax charge to know what that's about but dam if the right is this pumped about him being prosecuted then they should be happy that trump is getting looked at for his tax issues on top of the other hundred charges, what's good for one is good for the other side. Because at the end of the day the right wants ALL citizens to be treated the same no matter if your red or blue :Do_O :p

On a serious note, it must be hard for Joe to see this happen but I think he will do the right thing, the right will be looking at any hints of favoritism. If Hunter did go to jail, I wonder what special protection he would get or if he would be treated differently?

On the charge of not checking the box that he was addicted to drugs at the time he bought the gun, from a layman's perspective would anyone really check that box, it would be hard to prove unless you wrote a dam book about it. Would this typically be enforced, as I believe its a 10 year sentence for lying on the form or is it a plea deal? I would think as with quite a bit of trumps past cases some type of plea is worked out

And this is the exact difference between the two parties. If either Biden did illegal **** then send them both to jail. The GOP doesn't care what crimes their side commits as long as they have control.

All you have to do is look at why Al Franken stepped down and you know the difference between the two parties.

They keep going further down the rabbit hole of the cult.........I will not be shocked when they start saying everyone who does not agree with them should be put in jail

This is a basic problem with a mass amount of humans together practicing zero introspection skills.

They can't think in their heads that if they have to make these significant huge moral compromises when chosing leaders of their ideology consistently at almost all levels of government that maybe something is rotten to the core about their ideology.

I know you know this is bullshit, but I'll bite anyway.

FARA doesn't apply just because he gets paid by a foreign company. Not every person who works for a foreign owned company has to register as a foreign agent. There is a requirement that they be involved in political or advocacy work on behalf of that company/company.
