Im practicing "Sober October" this year and its definitely throwing me off. I may need to get all Dewey Cox and see whats up with that cereal you're talking about to make sense of some of the exchanges on here!
Why are you wasting your time conversing with these morons? We told them things will be different this year.....after they constantly said: "But last year?" ApacheWarrior: "Last year was last year.....you know.....when we were tanking and not actually running plays!!" Silas said post game: we basically ran four play sets last night.
It's hopeless, as you pin them down on a subject they jump to another. Have us chasing our tails. The receipts will prove us right as the players prove us right as well. Pick your poison: guard Green-KPj close and Tari-Jabari will kill you. guard Tari-Jabari close and Green-KPj will end you. I love it when a plan comes together.
I've been saying it for months. Do you want the receipts? I have no edit powers, so you can't claim I edited them. I've been saying it for months. I can post my receipts and then training camp/media day interviews of Silas and players saying the same. My comments weeks/months prior.
Honestly, I hope you get to gloat .... that means KPJ & this team made a huge improvement and quite possibly make the playoffs. But I aint gonna bet on it.
Can't believe it but I actually agree with you on this one ..... 3-4 @45-60 wouldn't be a bad deal for the franchise. The only issue is that it eats $6-7m of the offseason cap space. Ideally he'd agree to it now and sign it after you spent your cap space in the offseason.
It is fascinating to watch you now feel comfortable about paying him 15M per season after so much ballyhooing with that number all summer. This team can take huge steps in the developmental process without reaching the playoffs. Worrying about cap space with this team is as bad faith as you can get its better to just stick to your guns about the player skill set not being up to snub and his inferior stat card because that makes more sense.
Burden of proof fallacy. It doesnt lay at your feet to prove or disprove anything you said that is being questioned by anyone else. You could post any supporting material and I'd bet that the assumption would still shift to some other convenient annoyance. This place has a search function.
Yes I'm waiting for that mangy one eyed polecat to specify: I've posted: *Rockets were tanking the past two seasons *No spacing the past two seasons (because of Wall, Nwaba, Theis, Sengun, Tate) *Teams packing the paint *Silas saying he was running "Vanilla Offense" in exit interview *Silas saying he ran "Vanilla Defense" n exit interview *Jabari is perfect for what the Rockets need (Pre-Draft) *Jabari is a good corner shooter (opens up spacing) *Jabari can cut from that corner (as Green, KPj, JC facilitate drive or Sengun in the post) *Tate has been working hard all off-season on his 3....esp corner 3. .....cont'd......we finally have corner 3's where as we didn't have any last year. SPACING!!! *Silas will be running screens which was his greatest staple in Dallas. ......cont'd....Rockets will run weave, dribble handoffs, more PnR, Spain PnR, add more slashing and cutting. Provide cleaner looks and cleaner passing lanes. All of KPj, Green, JC, Sengun everyone will improve their efficiency. *Safety Net: Pick-n-Pop with Jabari anywhere on the court is our Plan-B cont'd...if any play set breaks down. *I've been saying the Rockets won't be just 5-men out like last season. ---------- I've also pushed : Moody would be a good pick up past pre draft Kuminga past pre draft Patrick Baldwin this past draft How Ty Jerome is a decent player I think GSW's are following me. Building continued dynasty. Warriors love Baldwin
This assumes all the cap space is spent next season. In that situation, it won't matter too much if he's worth $25M/year or $15M/year. Use 2023 cap space, use Bird Rights to go over the cap to sign him to a deal that decreases in amount each year (i.e., $25M/year would be about $28M, 26M, 24M, 22M). In the situation that the Rockets can't fill two max contract slots in 2023 offseason, signing or agreeing to a deal now with KPJ in the $15M range takes $15M in cap space for 2024.
Cap space arguments on this topic with KPJ make absolutely no sense whatsoever. edit: 3 times the fun now with this tweet!
I'd rather wait and see what Porter does this season. Even if we lose him I still think we have talent at that position with Christopher and Washington.
Bc coming out of college KPJ was more talent than they’ll ever be. Funny how you guys overate far less talented players. Never said they can’t improve, I’m saying if we let KPJ walk, it better be for Scoot
