Mathews lost 13 pounds? That's a lot. Changed his shot? That's even more. Yes, our practice facilities are an embarrassment.
Not just Sengun, if he’s trying to find ways to make things work for his players it benefits everyone.
No offense, but Tari's shooting mechanism looks a bit weird, Hope that won't bother him to be a prolific scorer at swingman position in a long run. Based the vids, In their scrimmage, tari n bari squad > jalen n scoot squad, cuz the former's D is damn goooooood lol
Does anyone know the rationale behind a 3-day training camp? Why not longer? Seems like it just isn't enough time to do or install much of anything, especially once the season begins and there is little time for practice. I may have known this at one time, but I'm old...
i've been wondering the same this has also been the leanest year for training camp insight in the past several decades. a few 20sec clips and fluff interviews. even before the internet local news channels were devoting more coverage than what we got this week lol
The owners are too cheap to pay for more training camp time when they negotiate the CBA. The NBA plays 82 games before the playoffs which should be plenty of time for the best teams to be ready for the playoffs.
B2Bs, Play-in, and new "Cup" tournament slated for next season would be my guess. There is only so many days and already players and coaches whine about days off. If anything gonna go it's going to be the preseason.
From what Jalen said in an earlier clip after Day 2 practice, Team Black was getting their butts handed to them before they finally got a win against Team White. If the teams haven't changed, then it sounds like it's a common occurrence. lol.
Even EGo said that training camp is basically just training camp and that real chemistry and improvement won't be until the season starts, so I'm not sure the guys really care so much about it. I'm expecting us to get our butts handed to us initially and hopefully show improvement along the way.
I'm surprised they do it at all. Training camps seem like a feature of Junction Boys bullshit from the 50's. Professional players don't have other jobs as milkmen in the off-season, they play basketball and are in shape most of the time. It's only a few who need special intervention (Luka!) to play their way back into shape but i don't think you need a whole training camp for that.
