Now, that's something that sounds good. I didn't think of that at all. Derek does have value for a playoff team and so does EG. I don't have any idea of Favor's contract though.
With Favors and Gordon you have some decent sized expiring contracts to make a disgruntled star trade if you wanted to cash in the Brooklyn picks. Let’s see who is demanding out come deadline time.
I like the Favors addition. Should be a good mentor to Sengun/Garuba, and even though it seems like he should be like 37, he's only 31, so he could still get some interest as a rotation big for a contender at the deadline. Theo Maledon is kind of interesting. Didn't do a ton in his minutes in OKC, but is only 21, was supposed to be a 1st rounder in 2021 (went early 2nd), and has some moldable PG tools at 6'4"-6'5"ish. He can join TyTy and Nix as 20/21 year old PGs battling for backup minutes.

I know it’s not a big transaction, but it’s pretty rare to get the player AND draft compensation in a trade.
Adding size to a woefully undersized roster is not a bad idea. The Rockets were, after all, one of the worst rebounding teams in the entire NBA. But then again, Favors and/or Harkless may find their way to someone else's roster.
I would love to see Favors step into that Nene type vet role. Dude is only 31 and still has some game left, I hope they keep him
I like Favors. He's a legit big that'll help when Sengun is over matched by bigger sized centers. I also really like Harkless as a SF
