If you find that cultural influences are hurting your butt you might be part of the problem you're worried about. ;)

I brought this up in another thread but DeSantis has been handling the hurricane well and is working bipartisanly. He's smart enough to know that disaster response especailly in FL can make or break a politician. That does mean doing things pragmatically and not ideologically.

Unfortunately he also believes his route to national power is through division and partisanship. If he were to get to National Office in the Republican party how good of a job he did handling disasters isn't going to cut it in today's GOP.

Just to add Chris Christie took a lot of criticisms from Republican circles for his figurative and literal embrace of Obama during Sandy. He did the right thing and NJ was better for it but that's not what the GOP cares about.

Yeah, I still imagine him to operate like Christie with PT Barnum aspects since "takin libs down a peg without solving the issue" is like catnip to Cons.

Secretly they believe women shouldn’t be in the military anyway. If the damn feminazis had just stayed in the kitchen the rape wouldn’t have happened!

The typical "I can do it, but don't do it to me" hypocrite from the GOP party.

further proof that it’s all projection

    the pedophile party strikes again

5.5 years in prison followed by 5 years of parole and forced to register as a sex offender

Hageman was arrested in November of 2020 after he was found to be a member of an online group chat dedicated to sharing images of child sexual abuse.

The site’s name on which the discussions allegedly took place has not been publicly disclosed, but according to an affidavit filed by prosecutors, Hageman shared with members at least one video of a child being molested, claimed to have sexually abused a child as young as 15, and indicated that he wanted to sexually assault children between the ages of 12 and 16 years old. Prosecutors asserted that they found “dozens” of child sexual abuse videos on Hageman’s phone after federal authorities executed a search warrant against him.

According to court documents, Hageman also requested that the members of the group find “a dad with a young kid he will rent out to us.”

Before working for the Commerce Department, Hageman lived in Arizona and worked at Turning Point USA, a Christian supremacist organization which markets far-right political views to high school students. He appears to have established a connection with the group while a student

It doesn't surprise me that MTG and Gaetz voted no, but for Dan Crenshaw to vote no is disgusting. Ex Navy man spitting on Vets now that he's a GOP politician. What a slime bag. He and his GI Joe soldier Rambo acting political ads were a joke. He's an embarrassment to me as a Vet.

...I think we all might really need to start singing the liberal socialist deep state's praises here.

...I mean, since the democrats are as bad (or worse, even) as the republicans are with this stuff...

...it's got to be a chore to always find some republican neck-deep in this kind of sewage, and not somehow breaststroke right up to any democrat not named Hunter Biden, holding a slice of pepperoni or a broiled infant femur in his or her hands...

...birds of a feather, and all that rot...;)

So he'll have 5 years to fantasize about those kids he will molest when he gets out. Sorry, any sicko getting off on watching children being sexually abused and claiming they want to abuse children should be locked up without a key. Their mind is twisted, and prison isn't gonna miraculously cute them. People who pose that much of a danger to children should be put in mental institutions for life. Predators are nothing more than dangerous animals.

I had no idea people were upset about that. Why?

Or rather, what is the excuse they give?

If the claims of outrage are just from random Twitter accounts than this is another example of telling the opposing ideology what they are offended about rather than actually being offended by it which the right does to the left ALL THE TIME.

I'm not call this outrage unless I see some major conservative media personalities and politicians outraged by it.
