    So it seems that Bill Walton wants to spend more money to house and treat the homeless. Not sure that is the tact expected.

    Also, I don't think we are in late stage Capitalism. Stuff like this has happened before, it just wasn't reported on and the police had the cover to do anything to get the homeless away from the wealthy. We have had shanty towns a number of times.

    I do think it is funny that Bill Walton was chased by a line of homeless people while he tried to ride his bike away at great speed.

    We can "solve" the homeless situation in California pretty easily but the people in California are not at the point where they would agree to letting the cops do whatever it takes to get them out of state and not return.

    Also income and wealth inequality is a legitimate concern in the West, especially in places like NYC, LA and SF and SD.

    Balboa party is a major tourist attraction and where the zoo is
    If it hurts the city from making money they will move them
    However that doesn’t solve the problem which is not housing , it’s drug addiction and mental illness

    well if they were clean and mentally healthy and don't have a job, they have to move.
    that's what healthy people who don't make enough to live near Balboa park do.

    The problem is that a large portion of the homeless don't want to live in shelters because of curfew and rules.
    And all home owners don't want a shelter in their neighborhood.

    Since Republicans think they have better solutions, perhaps all the big liberal cities should just start flying their homeless populations to random rural GOP areas and dropping them off.

    tell Walton to just build houses for all these people so they won’t chase him around balboa park

    oh it’s San Diego , I’m sure all the surfers and Instagram models want to have them in their million dollar condos

    I thought doing drugs and harassing people was an attraction of Cali.. You go to Florida for Disney and Cali to do drugs and commit crimes... You sure? Not even once?
