Lovie is not being fired after this year. It will become a point that you will not get coaches if you fire after 1 year.
And Pep? I haven't seen great offensive play calling from him. Then again, not a single one of our receivers, quarterbacks, running backs, or tight ends are even in the top 15 at their positions. We have a young, inexperienced team overall. Thank God we have a great field goal kicker, but that hasn't gotten us a win either.
On the bright side, we're scoring more pts per game than Green Bay, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Indianapolis, and Dallas. We need Lovie's defense to step it up.
My favorite part of this game was the coaching staff benching Pierce for his fumbles, putting Rex in the game, and Mills targeting Rex like he is prime Antonio Brown for the L. Rex ****ing Burkhead people. This is the world we are living in. Great job Nick. Way to take RB seriously.
You don’t need the top pick to draft a good QB. In fact, most of the best QBs weren’t 1 overall or even top 5. This is flawed logic. Also, Rex Burkhead is going to single handedly destroy my mental health that I worked the past 3 years on getting right.
You don't like Burkhead? Well get ready to see more of him next week, because he's probably gonna start! Can't have a rookie fumbling the ball like that, now Pep/Lovie has the perfect excuse to bench Pierce and run Burkhead 25 times a game.
The Texans are not only keeping his NFL career on life support but double downing on it with their determination of making him the focal point of a last place offensive attack loll right. They should cut Rex just so mills and co. arent tempted to give him the ball on every play, but we know that wont happen
This. Nick has been getting a pass given what he inherited. But with how bad the running game was last year, there isn’t much excuse going into the season with a 4th round rookie who has never been a workhorse back and Rex f*cking Burkhead.
