just went to best buy yesterday. i just moved into an apartment and am furnishing from scratch. i asked for a manager, told him that i need to buy: tv, dvd/vcr, entertainment center, washer/dryer, microwave, cd player, iron and what kind of deal can they make me if i buy all this stuff from them. so the manager gave me a piece of paper, told me go around, write down the sku/model/price of everything i want. did that gave it to him, went in a room, came back told me they'll knock off 5%, free delivery, and i got the rewards thing which is gonna kick me back $50 in gift cards. guess its not that big a discount or whatever, but a little effort probably saved me a nice chunk of change. 5% makes a huge difference when u spend over 1000 bucks, especially when tax is over 8% but they treated me real nice, the stuff i could fit in my car that wasnt gonna be delivered, they told me just chill and play xbox and they went around with a shopping cart and picked up all my stuff for me and loaded it in my car. anyway, just thought id share my best buy experience.
I've had Best Buy sales-drones tell me that I should buy a cheaper TV so that I could afford the service plan when I told them I didn't one for the TV I was getting.
Your going to love that TV. My friend has the 43 inch one and has his computer hooked up to it also. Best TV I have seen, looks better then the other plasmas and lcd's I have looked at.
The last time I went into CC, my wife had to go out to the car and get a crow bar to get me to break free from a 50" Sony HDTV Extended warranties are BS but ... My friend and I went halfies on a Phillips CD burner. I did not want to get ripped off with the extended warrantee but my friend insisted. Lucky for me, since that burner lasted six months before it went t*** up. A year later and a heart to heart talk with the district CC sales manager, we got a non-Phillips replacement, with a new extended waranteed (not that we needed it).
