    15-5 in September

Dodgers are 13-8 if I'm reading things correctly.

6,7,8,9 could be a real problem in the playoffs

Is this implying that there are actually posts like that?

He's a rookie. He's good. Since he came back from the IL at the end of July he's gone (this is all before tonight):

    10GS, 7-3 (team record, 2-3 personal), 55.1IP, 46H, 19ER, 19BB, 47K, 5HR, 3.09ERA, 3.78FIP, .229 .302 .333 .636

It somewhat terrifies me. Yuli and Mancini could really hurt us.

Days like yesterday are why I HATE short series in the playoffs.

    Oops. It's not yesterday yet.

I hope we offer TBR fans a refuge next week from a potential major Hurricane. Let's show them how we should have been treated during Harvey. They don't have any games which need to be rescheduled, but they might have an unusually high contingent of fans with them.

To be fair, 1.2.3.4 and 5 did even worse. 1-17.

Glad we won't have to face Baltimore in the playoffs.

Lol. Classic "the sky is falling" reaction after a loss.

-as mentioned above, the team is stlil 8-2 in the last 10 and on-pace for 105 wins
-can't use the "well if Dusty only played Mancini/Vasquez/Y. Diaz..." line cuz they all started
-as mentioned above, it was not the 6-9 hitters fault. the top of the line-up also hit like garbage.

This loss is why I laugh at the posts insisting that those playoff roster micro-changes will make a difference (e.g. Brown over Maton for the last spot in the pen or playing Mancini over Gurriel). If the Astros lose, they're gonna lose cuz they didn't hit enough and didn't score enough. More likely than not, them losing is going to be because the 1-5 line-up guys didn't hit enough. More than likely, the Astros will lose because if they run into a starting pitcher absolutely shoving. That's baseball.

As a reminder, the Astros have a .656 regular season winning percentage. If they win 58% of their games in the playoffs, they win the World Series. (I.e. they can lose 8 times on the way to victory).

Please forgive me if I'd prefer an 11 game winning streak in the playoffs.
