Ding ding ding! One is an old dude who the typical 2022 fan doesn't care about anymore, and he stole money from the poor. The other is an extremely relevant figure in his sport who already has Nia Long but had an "improper / intimate relationship" (read: teh secks) with the wife of a person literally above his pay grade. Honestly, if news broke that Kings coach Mike Brown did the same thing Udoka did, I think the news would last all of 2 days. And if Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady did what Favre did, they'd be getting the Udoka treatment.
The people actively involved get no sympathy from me. Feel bad for the woman everyone was immediately speculating when she had nothing to do with any of it.
This is absurd. Fire him if it really is that terrible. He can’t comeback after being gone a year? What punishment did Mrs. Lynch get? It took two to cheat.
I'm going to take the other side of this and say this is part of my long held tenet that coaches actually don't matter nearly as much as we think they do. Celtics will be fine. Just fire him/buyout if he did what the supposedly did.
Shannon Sharpe and Jason Whitlock made the point that the Celtics are doing this to eliminate the possibility of the women going against the team. They are striking first to keep the wome from blaming something going wrong for them on their relationship with Udoka.
My guess is it was about to get leaked and the legal team hadn't found a way around getting out of paying his contract...yet.
