Not as tall. I don't think y'all grasp how difficult for a 5'10'' player to play QB in the NFL.

It’s hard for anybody at any size at any position to play in the NFL

5’10 is tough. If he was 4 inches taller he’d by the no doubt number 1 overall guy

Players at the extremes have very limited success in the NFL. 6'7'' and above QBs (Brock and Mallett, others...) have not been a success in the NFL either. I can show you dozens and dozens of QB's 6'4'' to 6'5'' that have had great success in the NFL. I can count on 1 hand QB's that are 5'10'' and below that have had success in the last 40s years.

I can also show you 6’4 and 6’5 QBs that have been absolute failures in the NFL

Keep it ignoring that only Russell Wilson, Kyler Murray, and Doug Flutie are the only QBs 5'11 or smaller that have had success in the last 40 years.

Um, Height doesn't equal success...but it helps. There is a reason many scouts list 6'0'' as the cutoff for QB success in the NFL.

It’s also a sample size issue. Short qbs aren’t given nearly as many chances so of course there are way more successful qbs within a certain height range. Way more of them make it to the nfl in the first place.

Those QB's may not be drafted, but they have chances in off-season/training camps to try to make teams. They don't..

My Top 5 QB Draft list has changes since last week. I'm sure it'll change several more times.

    1) Bryce Young - still hasn't changed. Love his poise and what he brings
    2) Will Levis - he has showed a strong arm and mobility, plus he has moxie. Next Josh Allen?
    3) CJ Stroud - ACCURACY! Can make all the throws but I do not see the mobility.
    4) Jayden Daniels - He has an arm, he has mobility but man is he thin
    5) Cameron Ward - Darkhorse. Size, Arm, Mobility. He's under the radar but won't be for long. He has all of the intangibles. Local kid who just need experience

Not a bad list. Need to add Grayson McCall for small school guys.
Great runner, ridiculously accurate, solid size. Only just solid arm strength

    J. Daniels is so damn skinny. He has to wear extra padding just to not break in half.

I know he can’t come out this year but would you take Caleb Williams over Stroud?

Yes. Would take him over Stroud, also Ewers and Drake Maye out of that class

Very skinny but I thought, he only missed one game his freshman yr due to injury in college and if he can stay healthy in the SEC and put up good numbers, I think he can go late 1st, early 2nd.

Remember, Randle Cunningham had a similar build.

I think some of you guys are grossly underselling CJ Stroud, but thats OK. Season is still young. We'll see what the vibe is at the end of the year.

As of today I am hoping we go Will Anderson with the Texan's first pick. From there I like Levis, if available, with the Browns pick. I am open to the idea of drafting more of a project type down the line in round 2 (McKee or Van Dyke) or 3 who would sit a year behind Mills. Obviously it is waaayy too early to be talking with any specificity but its a fun conversation.
