While technically true, JV was on IR all season in 2021. So was McCullers in 2019. Both were barely there in 2020 though it wasn't a Title year.
I'd say the coach who made 12 World Series - all else being equal - is the better coach over the guy that kept losing in earlier rounds. I don't think many people would disagree.
I’m still not over 2019. I hate that series. Only thing that will get me over it is a WS title (or maybe 2)
I find it funny how seasoned the Astros are to winning. Framber has hair protected. Julia finally found some waterproof mascara so she doesn't look like a Vecna Victim like past celebrations.
If it's Stearns he knows him really well I'm sure from his prior time in Houston. That's a pretty logical choice for him to say- yeah- I remember this dude and I know what I have right now and I liked the other dude better. It'd be a ballsy move if it wasn't someone that he had previously employed.
3 things I don’t like about the lineup today… Dubon instead of Chas Gurriel batting 6th instead of 8th Yordan not playing but I guess it just doesn’t matter anymore. Its time to look forward to the playoffs now.
Still 5 things to focus on the rest of the regular season. 1) put best lineup possible on field for JVs starts to help him get CY without having to pitch 7+ innings hoping the team scores late runs. 2) ditto Framber keep extending the record. 3) rest players when the other starters are on the hill. 4) give David Hensley more starts to evaluate him for A.Diaz's replacement next season. ( I've given up on them letting Yanier play) 5) Make sure everyone is healthy and rested but not rusty for the post season
