I’ve wondered how much the NBA higher ups truly cares about “player empowerment going too far”

it brings drama and attention, and at this point, that gets the people talking far more than the regular season and actual on-court play does…the regular season is damn near irrelevant these days

half the teams not even trying to win, and the other half not taking it seriously because they want to prevent injuries and fatigue

What can the NBA do to make the regular season matter again?

NBA can’t even guarantee that teams won’t just rest players or treat it like some useless distraction

the NBA regular season used to matter or mean something…not anymore tho

stars used to play every game they could, but not anymore…that’s why I buy tickets on game day 95% of the time

tanking is celebrated like never before…the rosters some of these teams put out 2nd half of the season…my gawd

That mental health tidbit mentioned is going to be a very slippery slope.

So say that is included in whatever form it's going to take - that means Ben Simmons could've just said he had mental health problems and sat out the whole year. And the 76ers would've been able to do nothing but pay him 100% of his salary?

Lillard remains over rated on best players lists. Has been for a few years now.

    KPJ Lunatics?

You are the one using a completely unrelated thread to talk about KPJ.

Do y’all think the Thunder would trade SGA + 2023,24 first rounders for Anthony Davis + 2027 first round pick?

Trying to see how realistic 2k23 is and trying to rebuild the lakers as a challenge. Okc offered me this trade but I actually included the 2027 to make it more realistic

Had me thinking though if this is how the Lakers should start the rebuild. Even in the game Lebrons contract is a obstacle and a half trying to build a roster around until 2024
