That emergency declaration, which is set to expire next month, has allowed federal officials to pursue flexible solutions amid the crisis, including rapidly authorizing new covid treatments and keeping many Americans covered by Medicaid, the safety-net health program. The Urban Institute, a think tank that conducts economic and social policy research, has estimated that as many as 15.8 million Americans could lose Medicaid coverage after the government ends its emergency declaration.

Pandering to conservatives

 

Biden hasn’t been perfect and I still think the withdrawal from Afghanistan was horribly handled when it was obvious it would go bad. It’s also true some of his remarks on COVID have been confusing. Legislatively though he’s been the most successful US President in decades.

I would add to your list that the first gun control bill since the 90’s was passed. Also several of these bills have been passed with bipartisan support.

On the other hand Trump did have many “Infrastructure weeks”. I don’t see Kim Jong Un writing love letters to Biden. If Trump just had two more weeks we would’ve had the biggest and best health care plan.

The check for the wall from Mexico just got lost in the mail.

 

Speaking of Kim Jong Un, Trump bragged again at his latest Q crazed rally how much Kim Jong Un loved him. His obsession with pleasing the dictator types is scary.

 

People who lived as if it were over within a matter of weeks suddenly upset that the president says it's over.

In seriousness, there was nuance to Biden's comment that the headline doesn't catch. However, he should've avoided saying this as we don't know what will happen in the future when it comes to variants.
