They did last year and it was usually productive. Don’t know why it’s not incorporated into the gameplan more
Mills can throw on the run very well (which is kinda odd). It should be a regular part of the offense.
Looks like Lawrence will be the only decent QB from a lauded class. Fields is garbage, Lance and Wilson are hurt and Mac has looked pedestrian so far
Davis Mills is basically one of those inflated men that waves its arm around...he's just a statue with noodle arms...
Welcome to the hall of Texans back up. Savage Mallet Hoyer Shtwieler T.j Yates Case keenum And the newest member Davis mills
The 2021 rookie class accumulated stats so far. Mac Jones, Patriots 24 TD, 15 INT, 91.4 RTG Davis Mills, Texans 18 TD, 10 INT, 87.6 RTG Trey Lance, 49ers 5 TD, 3 INT, 84.5 RTG Trevor Lawrence 15 TD, 18 INT, 74.5 RTG Justin Fields, Bears 9 TD, 12 INT, 72.8 RTG Don't forget, our offensive line was ranked #30 when the season started. Most important is the fact that Mills had the highest percentage in the red zone last year. Do you know how many times we've made it to the red zone this year? Twice! Don't forget, he's only started 25 games combined in college AND the NFL. That's really green. He will learn and grow. I believe that Oh, stats don't mean **** though, and neither does the opinions of the haters.
It's only two games.....but my opinion of Mills is starting to shift. His accuracy issues are a real concern and I'm worried it isn't something he manages to improve on. I think his happy feet in the pocket will improve, especially if the OL starts protecting him better, but if he can't consistently make accurate throws to the sidelines then we'll never be able to sustain consistent drives. Obviously he should still get the rest of the season to prove himself, but I'm now leaning more towards him not being the guy long term. I hope he proves me wrong.
