I think your optimism is influenced by some garbage time games last year in a weird, Covid year. The difference between this year and last is that Mills has the starting job from the outset. Now there is pressure. Now teams have had a whole off-season to prepare for his deficiencies. Those deep plays that were open last year? No more. Now they dare him to complete sideline throws. He can't. Now opposing defenses are getting to him. So far, Mills appears rattled and is not producing. I hope you are right and I am wrong, but I am not a Mills "hater." I see what I see.

 

So the poor pocket presence, poor accuracy beyond 20 yrds, and inability to make plays when needed should be overlooked?

Well according to those statistics, at least we know he's a good passer

 

The Bronco's were awful. Any decent NFL would've beaten them. I have seen enough for this season. I won't put off my Sunday plans to watch this garbage.

I posted this in the Mills thread, but here it is for you to see reality...

 

Show me one QB with his experience doing way better without one single All Pro player on his team. Not only that, we don't come close to having one of the better offensive lines in the league. Anyway, I don't care what you and that Twitter dude think. We are a young team, making rookie mistakes with stupid penalties, but I expect everyone to get better throughout the season, including Mills, even without any All-stars for targets. He had a better game today than Justin Fields, that's for sure.

 

If the offense keeps this up till the bye week we need to bench Mills and fire Pep

 

Describe to me why you think he has poor pocket presence?

I think he stands tall in the pocket and protects the ball well.

 

I was a huge fan of hoping mills was the guy for us but it feels like he's missing the it factor I know it's only the second game and I am giving him the year to prove himself but right now it's feeling like we're going to have to use a gigh draft pick on a qb after the season hope I'm wrong

 

I want to see Pep work with a better qb before you chop him.

Stroud and Young looking better and better. All going to plan. Why would anyone want this team as it is to win games. Makes no sense. Keep tanking please.

 

This is how folks must have felt when they lost to BoB. We literally lost to a stupider BoB. Man wasted all his timeouts with 7 mins remaining and has his team look so unprepared and we still lost due to mills being dog sht.

Need 10 yards? Let me throw a 1 yard flat. Overthrow, underthrow, off target completely. He is so inconsistent.

 

It’s not that we lost… it’s how we lost… same with last week.
