If the Astros are trying Brown out of the pen, one has to think this is a real postseason audition now. If this were just about getting his feet wet for next season there's no reason to do this. Get him another start or 2 and shut it down.
And only once with 3 days rest. He is not a reliever. He is a starter being benched and being given 3 innings or less.
You said he wasn't good as a reliever. I pointed out that he has been excellent in his limited relief innings this season. Now you have moved the goal posts. What is wrong with getting 3 very good innings out of a relief pitcher? He has had one outing (out of 5) of less than 3 innings.

FO is in charge of the postseason roster and rotation, with input from the coaching staff of course, so....
I think we're at the point where the FO steps in and says "as we approach the postseason, this is what we want." Nook has alluded to this in previous posts.
Yeah... they had to call Yordan out, but it certainly looked like the fielder was going to not make the catch. Didn't look like he had good positioning.
