It’s because they know if they kick him to the curb he will run as a third party and they’ll be completely SOL until he dies.

They care more about “winning” more than an actual conservative platform.

That's basically any republican on here and in the nation right now. All this fake bs about we support DeSantis, we all know if Trump won a 2nd term these same folks will b kissing his a$$, same goes for the republican politicians. It ain't DeSantis but they rather have trump any day over a dem president
Sad state of the republican party.

Makes you wonder if deep down they hope he’s actually guilty of something terrible just to have justification to give him the boot.

I imagine that’s the case for power hungry repubs like Cruz/DeSantis.

This is exactly the problem that party has. Lindsey Graham has said as much. He said Trump was a kook and a racist that will cost the party badly but he also said the party can’t win without him.

Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger have said that the party can’t be redeemed anymore Becaue of how embedded and dependent it is kn the support of Trump and MAGA. At this point it might be better for many Republicans who are conservative but don’t want to deal with Trumpto leave and form another party. representative Justin Amash who did so in 2018 and more Republicans should’ve followed his example.

You can't really claim to b a republican and not support Trump in some form or another.

The trump brand is a toxic poison that Republicans are willing to stomach as long as extremist maga folks vote for Republicans candidates.

Can't kick him out in fear of losing the extremists but keeping him risk more folks to vote for democrats since folks don't like trump. Sad state of the republicans.

The question is, are there enough “republicans” out there willing to be an irrelevant party for 8 years? They will need to siphon off enough votes to make both parties lose.

Or perhaps the Lieberman/Kasichs of the world can create a moderate party that actually works together.

Let the Woke crowd and Racists keep “dem/republican”. It’s happened through history but it will take politicians with guts… and we lack those.

There’s not many Republicans who are willing to risk leaving the party. Mitch McConnell loathes Trump but there is no way he leaves the party and does a thing more than rhetorically oppose Trump.

For McConnell and others power is all important. That is the only principle that matters so you can make up rules and then break them. You can go along with Trump even though you believe he is a cancer on not just the party but also the country. You hear this from a lot of republicans even ones like Brad Raffensberger who’s family have been personally threatened by MAGA supporters.

The question to them is “what benefits a man to gain the World but lose his soul?”

I think the soul on most of those guys left the body a long time before Trump came around.

I wonder how much money it took for them to sell their souls to a party that looks down on them.

White people don't understand the feeling non-white people feel when we do a cross country road trip and have to do a gas and piss stop in regions like this.

Suburban college educated conservatives want to close their eyes to this issue.

something similar happened to my dad many years ago…he got the “u don’t belong here” comments and they followed him for several miles after he left

I hope she didn’t eat any of the food there because they probably spit in it or did something to it simply because she’s black
