I just read a report about the Rockets, I completely disagree with it. The contents were about Garuba playing in Eupope. Our Team Manager was mentioned saying he wasn't surprised with the play of Garuba and praising him . I had hoped that he would have felt negative about Garubas play and would be making plans to get rid of him from the roster.. I consider that Garuba is a weak NBA player ! Y
You want our Team Manager to bad-mouth a 2nd-year player, decreasing his trade value, and then try to trade him? Or should they just drop him and get no value?
This is a strange thread, while I don't think Garuba is ready - I want him to play well, and it is only good if he does.....he has been pretty decent in Europe, not great, not bad, but ok....and playing his role.... DD
Not exactly sure what the OP was getting at, but I think this is the article he may be referring to. https://rocketswire.usatoday.com/20...ised-by-usman-garubas-strong-eurobasket-play/ And here's Garuba talking about Spain's win against Lithuania. From what I've seen, he was solid in the limited time he was on the court, playing good defense and getting a crucial score. https://www.eurohoops.net/en/eurobasket/1389447/usman-garuba-spain-lithuania-eurobasket-2022/ I'm still skeptical whether he'll find a lasting role on the Rockets, but it's good to see him doing well for his country.

I wanted the Rockets to draft Garuba. The disappointment has been health. The greatest ability is availability He can contribute if healthy. Bigs that can't shoot 3's need to be setting screens. Theis usage was in 5 men out as Wood refused to play that Porzingis role of being mostly a spot shooter to allow Theis to be the quote unquote "screen setter." Now we are going to see WCS, Bruno, Garuba, Tari, Jabari, Sengun setting screens everywhere and rolling to the basket. Free up players for cleaner passes......greater assists. Bring in some vertical spacing. People don't want to listen to Apache when he says the offense can be very interesting.....more efficient. But Apache-learning-them. *Side note: Some Bigs that don't shoot 3's that contributed recently: Robert Williams / Looney. Both were in the NBA finals. A must though is that they need to be mobile enough to guard both interior and perimeter.
Nobody in the organization gives a hoot what a low level team manager thinks. I hope he’s right though and Garuba turns into an all-star. He’s close…..just missing an offensive game.
https://rocketswire.usatoday.com/20...xtraordinary-defender/?itm_source=parsely-api This article was on same site and has the coach calling him an "extraordinary defender". I watched the highlights of their game against Lithuania and he made some key plays. This kind of game experience can only help his growth, glad to see it.
You cannot turn him into Marc Gasol all of a sudden but you could avoid talking negatively behind his back. Offense and D are interconnected, he needs to at least come close to a Draymond Green Offense. Theis could be a hero in Euro ball, it is very different, hard to see Theis being a difference maker here.
You forgot to be bold so your thoughts can be important.. The space after the explanation mark is also vital ! N
I just read a report on the western drought. We're in meteorological fall, but drought conditions still persist. We might be able to trade for some precipitation before the winter deadline.
I've just seen report I can't forget the time or place or what it said It is just the team for me And I want all the world to see My team, mm-mm-mm-m'mm-mm Had it been another day I might have looked the other way And I'd have never been aware Of Rockets that I'll always care Tonight, di-di-di-di'n'di Fallin', yes, I am fallin' And they keep callin' Me back again Go Rockets DD
