True. Rather their more recent ancestors were victims of redlining and other laws to disempower them because the color of their skin because of institutionalized racism that still exists to this day. Most of the wealth in the United States was created after 1880, and up until the 1960s many communities explicitly forbade most blacks from directly benefiting and today there are more subtle forms of disempowerment that are just as oppressive than the formal rules during Jim Crow. You don’t have to celebrate the English empire or the continued monarchy. Just don’t dump all your animosity on the departed Queen for sins she did not create or commit. Although people can and should discuss impact of Prince Andrew and Princess Diana on the Queen’s reign.
You don't get a pass here. I looked. Not in 20 years has the Queen been mentioned in any title for anything regarding this on this board. This was not the time to bring it up. Period.
Never heard anything bad about the Queen until she died. Then the lil one's came out of the swamp to bash her. It is just a very inappropriate time to do so when it hasn't been a subject of conversation for 20+ years.
