Something I thought was cool: Asheville is playing the Greeneville Drive (Red Sox affiliate). The Tourists have a player named Luis Guerrero, and the Drive also have a reliever with the same name. They faced each other, with the Greeneville reliever striking out our farmhand.
I have a working theory that ~15-20% of the prospect names on this thread are just made up enigmas, similar to the computer game baseball mogul
His last outing was really good as well: 5 IP 2H 1ER 0BB 8K. 10 straight innings of striking out nearly half the batters he faces is pretty neat.
I have evidence to the contrary https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/...n-things-to-come.307899/page-46#post-13689350

Juan Santander was added to Asheville’s roster and caught for them tonight. Odd since there are 3 other catchers on that roster (Correa, Palma, and Alvarez, with a 4th in Nerio Rodriguez on the IL).
Misael Tamarez allowed a run on two hits and struck out four in four innings in his AAA debut. Nice outing to close out his 2022 season.
Corpus had one hit in the first game of their doubleheader with Midland. They won 3-2. The Hooks also won the second game thanks to a 6-run 7th inning. Bryan Arias walked it off with a three-run homer (6) for the 10-9 win.
Korey Lee and Corey Julks both went 3-6 with a home run in Sugar Land's 11-9 win in Round Rock. Lee (22) led off the game with his homer while Julks (26) hit his in the 3rd.
Devin Conn picked up the win in relief for Corpus. He is 7-2 with a 2.09 era for them this season (51.2ip, 46k, 19bb). I don’t know anything about him but that’s a nice season for a non-prospect RP.
For as disappointing as Lee’s season has been, he’s at least further shown his power is legit. And from what I saw the other night his contact/k issue might be improvable if he works on his pitch recognition/selection. But with his arm and power his lower end outcome might be a solid average backup catcher.
