thanks for the link, no doubt he will likely stay put, which I hope...I know by staying there, the other Texas teams besides the Rockets (who aren't looking at him unless he says "alrighty, I'm going to Houston 100%") won't pick him up and improve!!!

Poor guy. The well went dry, I guess. Maybe he'll get shipped off in a year or two. Maybe not.

I used to want Webber on the team but now I say, Who cares? I still would prefer he go East (Detroit) with no compensation offered for the Kings. But we can't always get what we want.

I like C-Webb, but would much rather have the cap space in 2 years to pursue Duncan.

I just want him to leave the west so the Rockets have less competition.

Poor Webby, went from having all the options in the world to having to choose between the town he hates and Detroit, a bottom feeder in the bottom feeder conference.

Yeah poor Webby indeed. Now he's stuck on a playoff caliber team, who is a quality big man or two away from serious contention making 124 million dollars with players he likes. I'm sure he is upset! [IMG]

Give me Bo Outlaw and this team will be fine.

“Right now, we don’t have anything finalized,” Fallasha Erwin said Saturday. “There are a lot of questions still to be answered, things like length of contract and signing bonus. There are a lot details to work out.

“We have indicated to everyone that before a contract is finalized, we have to get clarification on what the maximum would be for Chris, to see how the signing bonus would be handled.”

Doesn't sound like a done deal to me. Although I'm not high on CWebb.

It's a done deal since there are no other teams that can offer anything close to what they can offer.

I know, Rocks Millenium, we should all have it so bad. Wait, let me throw in one of these:

Tonight, ESPN mentioned Webber's situation, but that he's gonna look at another couple of offers because he owes it to Sacramento blah blah blah. Sacramento is not his preference; he still wants that sign and trade.

I'll just be glad when it's done, as someone else mentioned.

A long term contract for Webb in Houston might have been disasterous. I think Griff will be the PF of the future and 2 or 3 years down the road we would be stuck with a huge contract and no cap space for a non-starter. Just sour grapes? Maybe.

Not for me. I would welcome Webb. here anyday. Eddie has alot of potential but is years away from fullfilling it. And Eddie will probably play the 3 much like T-Mac does in Orlando. Now we can only say couda, woulda, shoulda ... [IMG]

A while ago on CNNSI, they said not so fast on Webber signing w/Sacramento. Webber said that his people are talking to Indiana today along w/a few other teams. Before the Draft, I wanted us to go after him,but w/us getting Griffith I don't think that's it essential that we get him now. I just want him to leave the Kings. The Kings w/no Webber obviously weakens them and brings us closer to them.

It boggles my mind that people can say that Webber's 'not good enough' for the Rockets. Ever heard the phrase 'a bird in hand is worth two in the bush'?. I can see how we might be able to clear up cap space for next summer, but after that, who knows what's going to happen.

And what makes you think that we are a possibility in Duncan's mind? How can you possibly discern all of the variables? Predicting Tim Duncan comming here is like predicting the weather a week in advance. 30 Percent chance of rain? It doesn't work, and to bank your future on that is reckless and absurd.

The two types of free agent busts are lazy guys, like Derrick Coleman and 'potential' guys Cato, Abdul-Wahad, or Jim MacIlvane. Webber is a legitimate blue chip free agent. Anybody who thinks otherwise is an idiot.

If you don't pursue him because you think you can't get him, or he could ruin chemistry I can understand. But otherwise, get over it. Webber would upgrade the talent level on this team in a guantum leap.

I hope Chris Webber leaves Sacramento, hopefully for the east cause if he stayed Sac would just be another team in the West taking up one of the eight spots we're shooting for next year. If he leaves, then we are no doubt a better team and have better chances for the playoffs. Phoenix is a wild card cause no one knows how Marbury will fit in but other than that we can be sure LA, San Antonio, Utah, Dallas, Portland, Minnesota are in. So that means we're up against Seattle, Phoenix, Sacramento and possibly the Clippers for a spot in the playoffs. I'd like to bump Sacramento off that list.

Mr. President. No man thinks more highly than I of three legged cows. They deserve to live. On my own part, I consider it as nothing less than a question of reason. Cows with three legs are good. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth : three-legged cows are better. They are better because the meat on them is better. The steaks are more tender. Three-legged cows tend not to wander as much. These cows could be the symbol of our country. The world would look upon us with great respect. They will want our cows and pay good money for them. The cows could symbolize freedom and hard work and three legs are better than four. They are meant for us; they can be meant for no other.

I wouldn't say Minnesota is a lock for the playoffs. They only finished a couple of games ahead of us. Considering we had numerous injuries to our center position, that's not bad. I don't see them improving like we should w/Griffith,Morris and healthy centers. I don't think they'll pick a key free agent or that Woods will have that much of a impact if he doesn't go to Europe. They're gonna be pretty mediocore for years to come w/no first round draft choices and basically capped out.
