How the hell do you get under a ball at your damn knees?

That just speaks to this utter stupidity that is launch angle.

Maton has nasty stuff when rested and locked in. He needs to be more consistent but he also seems fatigued a lot. I don’t think Baker has done him any favors… but at a minimum he has saved wear on other arms.

Personally I would rather Brown on the playoff roster… but I am pretty sure pitching won’t be the problem in the playoffs, but it will be offense.

The silver lining is, at least the game is over now. Better to just end the suffering in 9 innings than to go to extras, strand a lot more runners, and then lose in heartbreaking fashion, Win the series tomorrow.

    Good night

Man, offense is mediocre. Our pitching can go against any team in the major league, but the offense is definitely sus

If you think this offense is bad wait until you see it in the playoffs when the opposing pitching is even better.

Our offense is a disaster, don't even know what can be done to fix it.

Maybe the the guys are so used to high leverage situations and so many postseason runs while also being 10+ games ahead of any competition in the division where they become just not "in it". It's the Texas Rangers. Maybe they'll turn it back on in the postseason. It happened during the Covid Postseason.

I know they lock in during the playoffs, but I am not crazy about their lack of clutch hitting.

4 runs in two days ain’t gonna cut it ! Man this teams offense has just disappeared the last few weeks. Pitching has been stellar outside Will Smith !!!!!

Not going far with this offense. Reminds me of the anemic killer bee days in thr playoffs. Whither away. Really concerned about Alvarez. Hope this is just cyclical and everything hits an upswing come October or this will be a short post season.

Same as I have been thinking, we don't have any clutch hitters like we used to.

Correa, Brantley and Springer... Boy do I miss them. Obviously impossible to keep all of them.

Seems like every time we need a hit, we get a pop up.

Astro offense is putrid of late with a few explosive exceptions. The bottom of the order might as well just skip going to the plate. Alvarez doesn't look comfortable at the plate since his return. Fielding has fallen off, especially tonight. Gurriel is an absolute zero in the heart of the batting order. The pitching impresses, nothing else really looks like a playoff team at the moment.
