I was hoping these jerseys were strictly for road games, considering we won't have an alternate court to match them. Already cringing at the sight of these on our red floor.
This has nothing to do with history and everything to do with sales. I'm sure in China, where they most likely have no clue we were ever in San Diego, they'll market this as the "jade" Rockets jersey. I guess the league is ona quest since signing with Nike to pump out as many alternates a year as the market can handle. Jalen could get a special jersey for himself with those green ones for China and market himself as Jalen Jade. He'd probably make a couple million on the side on the alternate identity.
I don’t like that Jalen Green paints his nails. Or his choice of tattoos. Something about him looks off.
Seattle Supersonics vibes. My first ever playoff series as a kid was against the Sonics in 1992 with an up and coming player named Shawn Kemp who I was a fan of. Loaded Sonics roster. Pain in defeat as the Sonics advanced. Even drank my first beer at that game lol.
I don't know how you can say there is no connection. It will always be a part of the team's history. I like them. I think it's cool to remember all of our history. Especially since legends like Calvin Johnson, Elvin Hayes and Rudy Tomjanovich all started there. Pretty cool.
Please for the love of God keep these jerseys for more than one season! Wear them more than 6 times!! San Diego and Seattle were established the same year, these are our colors until Seattle comes back.
The Rockets should/should have always kept these colors in their back pocket. We should always have an alternate of these colors. I really don’t care what anyone thinks, these are f’n FIRE
They couldn't modify "San Diego" to Houston on the OG logo? You don't see the Grizzlies wearing "Vancouver" on their throwbacks.
