With 1 day/ game left it looks like it's down to Bregman, Nathaniel Lowe, and Aaron Judge for player of the month in August. Stat. Alex.... ..... Lowe. .... ......Judge AVG. .367. .... .... .377. ......... ..296 OB% .455. ... ..... .431. ...... .. .456 SLG. .700...... .....632. ...........648 OPS. 1.155...... 1.063..... .... 1.104 R. ...... 27. .......... 15. .............. 17 HR. .... 7. ........... 7. ................ 9 XBH. .. 16. ......... 12. ....... .... 13 RBI. ... 22. ......... 20. ....... .... 22 BB. ... 16. ........... 8. ........ .... 23 K. ....... 9. ........... 21. ....... ..... 26 FYI Jose Siri is having a good month for TB: 22 runs scored is 2nd to Bregman in AL. .259avg (.722 ops) and 7 doubles but 33Ks in 86pa just is no way to sustain success.
My bad. Good thing we aren’t watching the Dodgers who are among the worst at leaving men on base. Of course they also get more men on base then any other team in baseball.
You have to factor in that the Astros are also in the top 10 in getting men on base. The only good team that strands less men than the Astros are the Braves. But either way you want to look at it, stranding guys on base isn’t a particularly unique problem to the Astros. It is a very frustrating part of baseball and to Astros’ fans who have watched the last 2 World Series we’ve been in.
Siri would have caught it. Either Jake would have caught it prior to this year. I think it would have given Jake 2022 flashbacks and sent him into the fetal position sucking his thumb on the warning track.
Yep, Luhnow was ultimately in charge when Framber landed and sorry but he gets the credit but old you know who LOVES to inject some useless "yea but" posts whenever he can. What poster lurks and lies in wait in a GD thread looking to refute a spur of the moment factual post? Find something to do FFS.
Lets get the shorthanded win and get the mini sweep over these chumps. any win without Yordan in the lineup is a great thing.
