    CF.net is the last pre-web 2.0 (social media, reddit, facebook, etc) thing in my life so I'm holding onto it for dear life.

    I get why some folks left though.

    I have no doubt that people like that would blame others for the consequences of their own actions, but it doesn't change reality.

    That said, I'll proudly take credit for people like that being gone....even if it wasn't really my doing. It's a shame that more didn't follow Spartacus off the ledge.

    I remember the siege and cleansing well. It was the year 2018 of our Lord. It was a typical April day with a slight breeze and the sun beat down hard. The 99ers lead by clutch came and banned several hundred posters. Only after the fact would we learned they were charged with treason and sedition. Many long term posters were rounded up and banned on site, never to return. They live on as ghosts on this site.

    A few of them managed to escape and formed their own version of clutchfans as a discord server. They try to reproduce what they view as the values and traits of clutchfans of olden times. They are barely surviving, counting on donations from closet supporters on this very site. Moes has had a bounty on his head ever since he fled the site. Many have tried to collect on the bounty, but thus far he has survived due to a small group of devout supporters that have supported him and pay his bills.

    I know they have grand plans of taking over the BBS, but time has passed them by and they are out of touch with most posters now a day. For all of the talk of vengeance, they mostly just talk about how they want to have group sex with Paul Rudd or whether Beyonce smells like an old gas station hot dog.
