Media giants are the thing. Think of all of the franchises/IPs that EA has that Amazon can develop as not only games but shows and movies. The chick in blue in that video is a freak. I can feel it in me bones.
How/why? Owning a business in a market segment doesn't violate any antitrust laws that I'm aware of. Being a giant conglomerate isn't illegal unless it's stifling competition.
Can honestly say I don't consume any of these products on a regular basis. My wife may buy some Garnier stuff. 'Murica
Garnier is dope, Garnier Fructis it's eco friendly, uses recycled plastics, fair trade compliant and it's cheap
I think you're stretching it a bit, but EssilorLuxottica owns damn-near the entire eyewear market... including the stores like Pearle Vision, Sunglass Hut, and a ton of major brands, etc. They own the brands of glasses, the frame manufacturers, the lens manufacturers, and the stores they're sold in. Got EyeMed eye insurance? They own that, too. It's got to be the craziest domination of a single market with that many brands I can think of. Here are some of the brands they own I got off Wikipedia. I'm not even sure if this is all of them. lol
