Yordan has 1 homerun & 9 RBI's the entire month of August... it's crazy how his offense has completely fallen of a cliff, I dont think I've ever seen a player go from MVP caliber to an absolute black-hole on offense.
Really really really curious to see if Dusty insists on jamming Yuli in the 2 hole (zing!) But seriously, it’s hard to imagine there are any advanced analytics that say he’s helping whatsoever there. PS - Yordan ain’t right either. That’s a pitch he would crush 90% of the time.
One would think he would not be in there if he had a physical problem. Regardless of the nature of the problem though, we need Yordan 100% for October. You do anything and everything you can to assure that. Take him for 2 weeks if necessary.
Toronto has been shutout back to back games at home to Anaheim. Eight hits in 2 games. Astros trying to beat those stats.
Baseball players in general are totally weirdass routine-driven creatures. Pitchers take weirdass to an insane level, so you just never know what little thing might have an effect. And again, I'm not saying that Vazquez has much at all to do with it.
Offense is resembling what they showed last year in the world series, lifeless.... Could be a quick first round exit in the playoffs if this happens
He's a very good starter having a very not good start. That's all I'm seeing, it happens. He's been good the last month+ against some good teams, outside of a stinker against the Rangers.
This series is par for the course for the Astros. Maybe tomorrow J.V. can throw a 12 inning shutout and Yuli will hit a sac fly RBI for the win.
