Hi guys... I'm trying to get a friend a gift, and I think the titular item would be nice. Saw it at the virgin megastore today for like 90 bucks, but I didn't pull the trigger because that's more than the sum of the individual parts would be. Later on I went on circuitcity.com and it's $100. Which is kind of expensive... I don't want to get that expensive of a gift. What is the lowest price / where have you guys seen this? Please give feedback. thanks.
Go to www.dvdpricesearch.com and do a search for it. They have some stores that are selling it for under $60.
Wait for the extended edition trilogy to come out. I think the extended edition of Return of the King is due out in late summer/early fall. They will probably have a mega box set then.
Yeah, and then wait for the super mega double biggie sized set with 13.1 surround sound and 4D special effects version that will come out 1 month later to take even more of your money because you think you really need that one, too.
Peter Jackson is not going to come out with a "mega box set". He wanted to respect the fans that already paid for the first 2 extended DVD box sets.
After reading this, I forgive Peter Jackson for recommending that I rent "Cabin By the Lake". We're even again. I cannot wait for the extended version of ROTK.
there are 4 D's now? how's he gonna fit time into a DVD?? lol meanwhile... dude i'm not gonna wait for any mega box... that's only gonna be MORE expensive.
i bought it today at circuit city the store for 70 bucks... fair enough i guess, no shipping charge. oh coincidentally, they had tons of xbox games and ps2 games for 4.99... so i got 6 xbox games for 30 bucks. nice huh?
