I hope it's not as serious as it sounds and the kid's able to recover quickly. They never should have been playing on that court, apparently. Multi-million dollar players, both young and old, being put at risk for an exhibition. Lunacy.
that's the preview of whats to come. Didnt the league has something stupid like mid-season tourney they wanted to implement this or next season?
The difference is the NBA won't have them playing on slippery floors in small gyms like the Crawsover game. Don't know if you've played but it's no fun and dangerous slipping and sliding on the court. That's probably what hurt Chet more than anything because there was little to no contact on the play.
Jamal Crawford should be ashamed How are u gonna have the likes of Bron, Tatum, and top picks like Paolo and Chet showing up to your league, and u have them playing in some cramped gym with no AC and slippery floors? had people camping outside overnight just to witness a quarter and a half of basketball
I always considered that the huge problem with Chet was his body, not his ability. Buuuut... some here insisted on repeating mistakes of the past. Luckily Chet was no longer on the board when it was our turn to select!
Maybe wait whether this is a recurring thing (and we don't even have a proper diagnosis yet) before doing your idiotic "gotcha" quote collection?
Okc should sue Crawford. Not serious — or am I? seriously tho, the league might need to do something abt players playing in these leagues. First off, how the hell you gonna demand game management and then play all summer?
Anyone could have injured themselves on that wet floor. That's why game was called off at half time obviously.
it wasnt about a 'gotcha quote' collection... it was about how some people on this board act like any opinion contrary to their own is complete idiocy... and anyone who has an opinion differing from theirs must be a moron... I got no problem disagreeing with people - it takes all kinds to fill the freeway... i just dont like when some folks are disrespectful about it - so when there's crow to be served in those instances... and yeh, I'd say not even making it to the preseason healthy would potentially reinforce some predraft potential injury concerns...
I don't think this injury is any indicator of Chet's career. It's surprising on the play given there didn't seem to be any contact or him jumping - never hear of anyone getting a major ankle injury backpedaling, but I doubt this is a career defining injury. I was not a fan of drafting him and glad the Rockets did not - always though his body frame would be an issue in terms of durability unless he became primarily a perimeter player and he a lot of work before he can claim that.
The issue is how hard some of you acted like Chet was 100% going to have an injury-riddled career when he had none in college/HS, and now when he has a single, not even fully confirmed injury, you are already doing victory laps and want people to eat crow.
