Where to buy? I can go to the Speed Queen website and find nearby dealers, but was just wondering if anyone had personal experience / recommendations. Need a front load washer and gas dryer.

Thought for sure this would be a thread about Shirley Muldowney. So disappointed.

Just get a Maytag Commercial, washes clothes in 35 min and is cheaper than a Speed Queen.... Good quality build, but if you do go with Speed Queen don't get a TR5, get a TC5... TR5's take like 56 min to wash in normal because it washes with water friction...

Maytag Commercial are also available locally at Lowes...

Have you had a Speed Queen? They are vastly superior to Maytag.

I have had my Speed Queen for a long, long time. They can easily last 40 years. I agree with you on the TC-5.

    It is an excellent investment.

I actually don't have a Speed Queen, my washer broke down about a year ago.... It was still under warranty and I kid you not it took like 6 months to get it repaired. At about 2 weeks I decided to just get a new washer. The one that broke was a fancy digital one and I then bought a huge expensive Samsung.... It was taking like an 1 hour 25 min for a normal wash... I took it back and started researching washers.... Arrived at Speed Queen and this Maytag Commercial. I found them comparable and I could pick one up from Lowes at Bunker Hill...

I do think Speed Queens are better, but I needed a washer like right then and there and the Maytag was close enough to a Speed Queen. Don't regret it, it has been great and I feel confident it will last a very long time. I recommended someone a Speed Queen recently thou and she got a TR5, defeats the purpose of a speed queen in my opinion if its going to wash without an agitator and also take nearly an hour . Atleast it uses water unlike the crap washers on the market today.
