    lol, these people aren’t serious

    “roughly as safe”

they’re not even trying to deny that he took classified documents anymore…now it’s basically the “he had good intentions” or “he wasn’t hurting anybody” defense

A Chinese businesswoman convicted of trespassing at President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort while carrying a bag full of electronics was sentenced Monday to eight months in jail.

Florida federal Judge Roy Altman also ordered Yujing Zhang, a 33-year-old Shanghai business consultant, to be deported after her jail sentence is complete.

Federal prosecutors wanted Altman to give Zhang 18 months behind bars.

Zhang was arrested on March 30 and charged with unlawfully entering the Palm Beach club and lying to federal agents. She faced a maximum possible sentence of six years in prison.

She was convicted on both counts by a 12-member jury in September, following a brief but unusual trial. Zhang had acted as her own attorney, defying the judge's advice, and reportedly struggled with the English language during the proceedings.

Zhang had made it past at least five Secret Service agents and into the main reception area of Mar-a-Lago before she was intercepted by officers, according to the criminal complaint against her.

At the time of the incident, Trump was playing golf at the Trump International course nearby.

She was found to be carrying four mobile phones, a laptop computer, an external hard drive, and a thumb drive that "contained malicious software," the complaint said. More electronics were found in her hotel room, along with about $8,000 in cash, according to the complaint.

Zhang's bundle of tech products bred speculation that the Chinese national may be a foreign spy. She was never charged with espionage.

They managed to catch this one, but do u really trust Trump’s crack staff to intercept all of them? What if it’s someone who’s friendly with or has business dealings with Trump? Are they intercepting him?

    Bring it back!

The fairness doctrine of the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC), introduced in 1949, was a policy that required the holders of broadcast licenses both to present controversial issues of public importance and to do so in a manner that fairly reflected differing viewpoints.

Hold on, she defended herself, couldn't speak English, and received only 8 months? WTF? Guess she was sucking off the Donald or maybe Steve Bannon.

Yeah I know what you mean. I went to work yesterday and they told me I couldn't come in because the government had seized all means of production.

I don’t think Trump will ever go to Prison. If he is convicted he most likely will serve house arrest. I don’t think the DOJ would want to actually put him in a prison. I’m addition to the spectacle it would likely also lead to attacks on the prison by those who want to support him.

I also believe the DOJ is moving incredibly cautiously out of a fear that a trial of Trump will end up being another Jan. 6th with supporters trying to storm the courthouse.

I like to think they won't let fear of attacks keep from pursuing justice.

It would be irresponsible of them and a dereliction of duty.

On principle yes but the DOJ, DA’s and judges aren’t blind to the consequences of their actions. They do frequently consider safety to the court and public in regard to how and when they act.

I brought this up again this morning but many in the current GOP have shown a willingness to threaten law enforcement and outrightly use violence against them.

In just a few years, we saw violent threats by the extreme right seeping into the mainstream right. Violence threats against election workers. Threats against public officials. Violence threat against health care workers. Actual violence against government workers and instructions. And now threat against lawyers, judges, and law enforcement. It's should be no surprise when the leader of today's GOP over the past 6 years is an immoral person who values the worst of human behaviors.
