It still baffles me ppl don’t understand the difference here.. One paid for an illegal service that was willingly given The other forced women who did not want to perform any of those acts to touch his genitals against their will..
Always knew it was a bunch of BS rhetoric from the NFL. 11 is better than 6 at least. Now all we can do is **** that b**** up when he steps back into Houston.
All the women were Chinese and didn't speak English, yet there was no sex trafficking...lol. The majority of these places have women working there against their will, so I find it hard to believe that Kraft did his due diligence and made sure his rub and tug place was free of sex trafficking. The prosecutors say there was no evidence of sex trafficking, just like the two grand juries said there was no evidence to indict Watson. Yet society is willing to give Kraft the benefit of the doubt, but go all in on Watson...I wonder why.
Um no, they are both sleezeballs. Both illegal, but one woman took the money and performed. Then 24 women didn’t want the money and didn’t know what they were getting into. But yes, both should be punished. However one should be punished harder than the other…
My tickets are for sale. In fact they're for sale for all of the games. BTW, I don't care if the Texans lose 100-0 as long as Watson leaves the field on a stretcher it will be a good day. 0 blitz all day long. Multiple ejections should rule the day.
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...mes-and-heres-how-it-could-reportedly-happen/ If the standard is sincerely showing remorse and apologizing, he'll never take another snap a gain.
He's already demonstrated a willingness to sort-of apologize when it meant protecting his pocketbook (I'm convinced the only reason he apologized before the discipline was handed down is because he knew that would help get the NFL willing to negotiate). He'll tell whoever whatever they want to hear so he can stay on the field. And we will never know what sort of things the therapist asks of him.
Oh, absolutely he'll "apologize" if he needs to to protect his career, but that's why I qualified it with a "sincerely". Will anybody but his most pathetic defenders believe it though?
Probably not, but I doubt that "sincere remorse" is truly part of the requirements to being reinstated. If the NFL held him out from returning week 13 because a behavioral specialist doesn't believe he's learned his lesson, they would have another high profile lawsuit on their hands from Watson and the NFLPA. And the fact the league was willing to settle on the discipline at all tells you how little appetite they have for that sort of legal attention. He'll be back week 13, no matter what, and we'll all just move on knowing that he really didn't learn anything. My only real hope at this point is that he has enough self awareness to actually be bothered by the jeering and heckling he will receive from crowds and (hopefully) opposing defensive players. If that gets to him enough that his career performance is greatly affected, I'll feel a little bit better. But a guy that does what he did and then shows absolutely zero remorse for it tells me he probably will have it roll right off his back. Heavy sigh.
https://www.thedailybeast.com/why-im-refusing-to-settle-with-nfl-star-deshaun-watson “The Cleveland Browns quarterback has settled with 23 of the 24 women who accused him of sexual misconduct,’’ Lauren Baxley wrote in a first-person account for the Daily Beast. “I am the lone holdout. Let me explain why.’’ Baxley, who described Watson in her lawsuit as ‘a predator with power,’ said she was forced to quit her job as a massage therapist in May ‘for the sake of my health and life; I have not felt safe providing therapy since before June of 2020.’ She said she won’t settle because he’s not sincerely sorry and hasn’t shown a willingness to get well in his offers to her. “I have rejected all settlement offers, in part because they have not included any sincere acknowledgment of remorse and wrongdoings, nor have they included any promises of rehabilitative treatment,’’ Baxley wrote. “Watson still refuses to admit that he harassed and committed indecent assault against me. Any settlement offer he has made has been a dismissal of his evil actions, and I know that unless there is an authoritative intervention, he will continue his destructive behavior. For the sake of my health and life, I have not felt safe providing therapy since before June of 2020.’’
Good for her, I am glad she is rejecting the offer...............there is still hope to do more damage to this creep. I hope game 13 is so loud and crazy and the Texans beat the snot out of them............just give me this one game
Regarding Lauren Baxley, the USA Today reported Watson's defense against her earlier this year. If this goes to trial, she's going to have a hard time explaining why she kept contact with Deshaun and scheduled additional massages with him. Interesting, so I wonder, how many of the others (only 24 of 66+ came forward) wanted to stay quiet and “distance themselves wanting nothing to do with their perpetrator” because they were so traumatized… I mean if we can say a woman was NOT traumatized by Watson because she remained in contact and came forward. Then can we also say that a woman WAS traumatized because she never spoke to him again or came out now because they can’t even look at or think about him? And there are 42+ of those…..
Yeah pay her. I don't doubt he's made many women feel threatened and uncomfortable. Just cant show up with your piece hanging out begging women to touch it. We know you have lots of money but man... have some respect smh.
