I would: Jose Altuve 2B Trey Mancini DH Alex Bregman 3B Yordan Alvarez LF Kyle Tucker RF Jeremy Peña SS Yuli Gurriel 1B Christian Vazquez C Chas McCormick CF
Yordan hasn't screwed up much the few instances he gets to play LF, right? He's actually made some impressive plays. Maybe he can just take it over so Mancini can be our everyday DH, at least this season.
Kinda sucks that Diaz got hurt just for some flexibility. I would use Yordan on the road in LF most of the time with Mancini at DH. When the Astros are at home, I would try to play Mancini out in LF most of the time with Yordan at DH.
There is none. Dusty is trying to get him out of his slump by putting him in a position to see better pitches. He's an old school player's manager.
I see none but im willing to listen to answers on this. I think it is giving Altuve less pitches to hit cause they would rather face Yuli It hurts the team overall
I'm surprised to see Chas starting in CF 2 days in a row. He really needs a good game to help him stay there.
Players are good. I would play this BO: 1. Tucker 334 OBP 2. Bregman 363 OBP 3. Alvarez 1015 OPS 4. Altuve 871 OPS 5. Mancini 500 SLG 6. Pena 416 SLG 7. McCormick 320 OBP 8. Gurriel 290 OBP 9. Vasquez 273 OBP Same players. Just optimizing the batting order.
Quoting for truth. There's no logical answer to have Yuli in the 2 spot. Pitchers don't have to give anything to Altuve because they know they've got an easy out right behind him.
