Dirden - AA to MLB with 6 games at AAA sounds like what we used to do when we were a sub 500 team. Hensley - I could live with this move. 450 PA at Sugar Land. 77 BB and 101 SO is a good ratio. I like his 29 Doubles as much as his 10 homers. Extremely versatile. Maybe Diaz replacement?
Do you have any doubt he won't be in the 2 spot right through the postseason? My bet is this is lineup and batting order for game one of the ALDS.
This is not accurate unless Dusty plays Chas in CF as a starter going forward other than days off for rest or someone else starts hitting that can play CF. A second start in CF over a 5-week period is not really what I want. I think Chas can easily outperform the 0.203/0.263/0.343 that the Astros have gotten from CFs this year and that's with Chas propping up the numbers. 1 or 2 games really isn't much of a chance for a player to make a difference specially when 1 of them is not putting him in a position to help much.
Here's an idea, Vasquez has played 1B before for Boston, can he get at bats instead of Yuli if Dusty isn't planning to play Mancini there?
I like Vasquez better at 1B than as DH since he could move to C if necessary without giving up the DH.
He really doesn't seem to want getting Mancini into the line-up. It's like pulling teeth. You do what you have to do, but you don't like it.
Imagine that. Fans questioning a manager’s decisions. Are we in the twilight zone because that has never happened before.
That's the Death Star lineup the rest of the year, other than swapping catcher and Maldy has had better numbers for the past 2 months.
Dubon gets 3 hits yesterday. His reward….sunflower seed guy in the dugout Hope the Astros have their hitting shoes on tonight at the South Side.
Keys to victory: Yordan remembers he's playing baseball and not cricket and stops swinging at balls in the dirt. Pena stops swinging at balls that are closer to being throws over to first base than to home plate.
