Baseball is weird. The 2017 Dodgers won 104 games. They also managed to have a stretch where they went 1-16 in August and September. (their one win was a 1-0 game) They closed out the season 13-22 ... and then made it to the World Series. This is kind of why these games now are pretty irrelevant given the division and bye lead. Outside of players getting injured, how the team is playing today has very little impact on how they will be playing in October.
