That would make sense and be good messaging. That means Democrats will absolutely not do that.

I hate that this will be the case…Dems the type to have a wide open layup and then pass it out

Republicans know they’ve got nothing, so they focus on lies and irrelevant culture wars…more people need to wake up and realize this

Exactly, under the circumstances the Biden team has done quite a bit and they need to shout it from the rooftops....................meanwhile we will hear the gop playbook play out for the next few months........the evil left wants your guns, the evil and godless left want to indoctrinate your kids with crt......oh and throw in the INSANE border policy and the murders and rapists coming to get your wife and daughter. I do love to hear the gop say they want a trump like candidate, just not trump but with his policy`s............what policy`s? Still waiting on that healthcare bill at the end of his term that was promised for months but never materialized.........did he fib about that, no way :p

As someone who leans conservative, I find this a regrettable development.

Remember his own defense secretary Mad Dog, a staunch career long conservative, a dude worshiped my my former peers in Marine Infantry who are also mostly far right or conservative explicitly stated that Donald Trump is the first president of his lifetime that "purposefully divides the nation". Why would a career long conservative say such a thing?

Are you seriously asking why some conservatives don't like Trump?

Because I think Trump is a bad person, what he did on January 6th was wrong and illegal, and he has been incredibly divisive for the country. He just uses the Republican party as a vehicle for himself. I don't think he actually cares about conservative values or personal freedoms.

While I agree with some of the foreign policy decisions he made (e.g. on Israel, criticizing the UN, demanding that countries like Germany stop NordStream 2 and pay their dues to NATO, etc.) and while I think he would be better for the economy and agree with his criticism of crazy authoritarian Covid rules, I think the Republican party, the country and the world would be better served by making a cut and allowing some fresher faces like DeSantis taking center stage (same goes for the Dems - there must be some other people than 135 year old Biden and Pelosi they should be able to nominate).

I also think Trump is very vindictive. He literally goes after these people with a vengeance. It's not a character trait I am comfortable seeing for the leader of the free world.

While you are not a blind robot and willing to dislike Trump and look towards a better candidate like DeSantis they don't care. They don't look at things the way you do and they hate everything you believe and will only stand for Dem candidates and policies even if they are awful.

Trump was a good president, do I think Trump is genuinely a good person? Meh.... Not really.... Do I think he is more honest and invested in making this country better? Yes.... Trump focuses on this country, Dems focus on their movements.

I rather have DeSantis as the primary and Trump as vice or Trump removed all together but its not going to happen. Still, I rather vote for Trump every single time then have another Biden in office... I get while some dislike Trump, I really do. I think its stupid putting our lives and future of this country in the hands of a Biden over feeling disrespected by Trump's comments on anything.

I don't think not conceding an election and convincing a third of our country (the third that is disproportionately more likely to use firearms if they feel like they are being oppressed) that our elections are fake news is merely "being disrespected".

It literally is the beginnings of loss of a democratic system. That's how existential the stakes are.

Lets all vote the way we have been voting since forever and you won't get candidates thinking the election was not fair and honest.... Without the mail in voting push and not having the results in that same night the way it usually happens you don't get these chaotic situations. We can only learn from the past, its time to implement strict rules and laws for voting in the 2024 election to ensure and guarantee 2020 won't ever happen again.

Donald Trump would have claimed the election was fake news regardless of how we voted.

He literally claimed that millions... Millions as in he literally said millions.... of illegals voted therefore he should have won the popular vote.

Are you trolling dude? These can't be your sincere thoughts. No one in the administration, NO ONE, sincerely believed in the claims you are adamantly defending. Even his own administration staff and cabinet members didn't believe him. Even his own DOJ didn't.

This is not about a legitimate election, this about public perception. You think Trump would have the massive red wave following without the mail in ballots fiasco.... You cannot possibly believe this. Now, its a platform. Now its a problem. No one will trust another election ran with mail in voting again. I don't trust it.

Almost all the swing states in the 2020 election are run by GOP controlled state legislators. That means they willingly went the opposite direction unlike the vast majority of other states by deciding to count mail in ballots last after all in person ballots were counted.

Can you use that matter between your ears to figure out why they wanted to do that?

Perception is nothing but that... Perception and Trump and the GOP purposefully created a perception narrative for people like you to eat up.

He's a anti-woke warrior also. It's his new crusade. He defeated the Muslims back in 2016 and now has a new war to fight.
