It does. We've never done that even though many/most other teams in the league have gone to that approach. Didn't even do it with AJ (I guess arguably Altuve was the teams best hitter- but probably Bregman in 2018 &2019 which was AJ's last year as the skip), and that's with JL and James Click, so I doubt it's all that great a strategic advantage, probably a microscopic one. That's fine if you want to hit your best hitter 3rd instead of second as long as you have a good hitter at 2nd. Yuli just isn't that. On days when he's in the lineup it just can't be justified hitting him higher than 7th. Unless you also have Meyers, Maldy and Pena in the lineup in which case just throw your hands in the ****ing air and let a random player generator pick between that murders row at 6, 7, 8 & 9.

Dusty can't do that. That is on Click (and partially on Meyers for wanting to play through whatever is going on). If Meyers wants to play, I think Click would have to option him to not risk getting penalized for skirting IL rules. Click should either send Meyers down or to IL if Meyers isn't 100% or is 100%, but stinks. Dusty shouldn't be let off the hook for playing him as much as he is, though.

I see all the people looking like they are clearly responding to nothing, and I realize they are replying to the idiot I have on ignore that can't understand the difference in valuation between a pitcher with 3 years of arbitration left and one entering his walk year. .Then, I realize said idiot is adamantly defending Dusty's decision making and I get gleeful at my decision to hit the eject button on that stupidity. Same way as ignoring the guy earlier in the year that didn't understand what "platoon" player meant in discussing Brantley and Chas. Those are my only two ignore functions and it's glorious. Every other board I've ever been on it shows up that you are actively ignoring a post, or, if that poster is quoted in a reply then you can see the post that drew the reply. Here, it is as if it never happened. Truly a technological marvel.

Alvarez may have broke out of his little slump with his home run yesterday. Lol he was benched today. Had to see that coming.

Yuli is at this point an automatic out in the lineup.

It's bad enough we have to listen to the Rangers color guy and commentator on YT

Who is announcing? I am pretty sure that one is CJ Nitkowski and I assume the other is Dave Raymond the Rangers normal crew. Both suck, both have an ax to grind with Houston and this will be an excruciatingly painful broadcast.

Everyone knows you can switch to the Astros radio team as audio overlay?

Click settings >> Audio Track >>> Astros Radio

He isn't either. He popped in to defend Baker mostly. He wasn't around before that
