I don't like the thought process of Harden thinking I gotta leave Houston win a championship... then I'll come back afterwards and attempt to get a ring later after they acquire more young talent. Who does he think we are? Cleveland?

Silas has hinted at Tate starting....reports are Tate has been working hard
    on 3-pt shooting all summer.

I'm going with 9 to start the season as:

    1) Porter jr
    2) G4
    3) Tate
    4) Jabari
    5) Sengun
    ------
    6) J Christopher
    7) Kenyon
    8) Tari
    9) Garuba (Rockets need to see what they have with him)

*Kenyon needs to be traded for Mathews and Eric Gordon to get minutes.

As of right now I have Eric Gordon as the Augustin vet on the bench role.
Brake glass in case of emergency (injury).

Assumptions: Gordan and Martin are moved before the start of the season.

    Starting 5:
    PG: Porter
    SG: Green
    SF: Tate
    PF: Smith
    C: Sengun

Bench Priority may depend on situation and team we're playing, but something like this...

    PG/SG: Christopher
    SF/PF: Eason
    SG/SF: Mathews
    C/PF: Garuba/Fernando
    PG: Nix/Washington

I could see JC, TE and a Center coming in at the 8-9 min mark for Porter, Tate or Smith and Sengun. Mathews and Nix/Ty would then come in at 11-12 min mark to JG and Tate or Smith to finish Q1 and start Q2.

I think we moved past Harden. He's going to continue to have issues if he doesn't take his conditioning seriously. I thought he could have had a long career because he's old school solid (not an uber athlete) and played through a lot of injuries, but his decline seems to be precipitated by terrible attitude and poor conditioning--two conditions we don't want infecting our young core.

That's nonsense. Westbrook and Tilman destroyed the Rockets, not Harden. Kyrie destroyed the Nets with his weirdness. And Philly was in much worse of a position with Simmons than with Harden. You have to be more honest in these casual statements you are making. Blaming Harden for those three teams is not just unfair, it's ridiculous.

Yeah a lot of people, including people in the know, just disagree with you completely. If anything Garuba and Nix are ? marks but they are certainly NBA caliber players.

Lol, pretending that Harden didn't demand the Westbrook trade won't change history.

Harden destroyed the Rockets, then gave up on the team and demanded a trade.

He went to the Nets hoping to be carried, then he quickly gave up on that team and demanded a trade.

If he bails on the 6ers, that'll be 3 in a row.

Neither have shown anything to suggest they are nba caliber players.

Nix struggled to run the point against summer league competition just last month and Garuba showed up out of shape and got injured before he ever got on the court.

I'm fine with calling them question marks, but the default answer about them being nba caliber players should be no, not yes. So since they haven't proven it, the answer should be no.

I like Frank's analysis but not putting Stevie Franchise on my Rockets Mt. Rushmore.

Franchise would not even be in my 2nd five to be honest.

And I disagree with Duckett a lot but his Mt. Rushmore is closest to mine.

    Dream - MVP & HOF
    Moses - MVP (2x) & HOF
    Harden - MVP & HOF
    Big E - HOF
    Yao - HOF

Rockets really need to move EGo, Nwaba + KJ/Tate imo.

Young guys need to play max reps AND lose organically.

Young development team so rotation will be deeper, maybe as much as 11 deep:

    KPJ/Nix
    Green/Jaygup/Mathews
    EGo/Tari
    Jabari/Tate or KJ
    Sengun/TBD

TyTy, Garuba + 2 way contracts (Hudgins, Fernando?) will be Vipers and/or end of bench/ break glass in case of emergency players (Boban).

    Delusional.

Blaming Tilman for trading CP3 is the biggest misconception on this board.

“I know exactly what we need to do.”

I dunno man looks awfully happy the Point God is gone. Looking like a kid on Christmas morning that got everything he wanted.

Harden got what we wanted yet it’s Tilman and Westbrook’s fault? Nah

The same Tilman that offered Harden a Super Max to stay?

Even WB was tired of Harden’s bs. His entitlement, insistent partying ways, sorry ass work ethic, breaking protocols at the time and putting himself first.

Harden couldn’t even last 13 months in Brooklyn after he forced his way there. As weird as Kyrie is that’s what he wanted. Harden couldn’t even hold ship for a few months when he knew KD and Kyrie would be back.

Won’t be long before He and Embiid have a falling out. At some point you’d think one would realize maybe it’s not everyone else but it’s Harden.

Harden has burnt bridges/clashed with every single superstar he’s played with. Dwight, CP3, Westbrook, KD, Irving.

Furthermore, how was Philly in a much worse position with Simmons than with Harden? They were 2nd round fodder in 2021 with Simmons and they were 2nd round fodder with Harden this year.

In Embiid's post-game interview after they went out of the playoffs, he seemed fed up with Harden already.

Some consolidation is going to have to happen sooner or later, potentially 9 FRP over 3 years not to mention the KPJs, Tates, KMJs, Gary Birds, etc.
