Zero impact on spending habits. I just make this face when I see some of the prices:

I finally got all my supplies together and made that Chicken Broccoli I mentioned in my original post. It came out great and tastes as good as the takeout version I get. It's really amazing how all the various sauce items came together to produce an authentic tasting sauce. Now, I get to eat this for another 2 - 3 days for my daily single meal. I feel like a real Chinese chef. By far, the best Chinese food I've made at home. I swear I thought I was eating take-out from my local place but I knew I wasn't because my carrots were cut in circles. I made one hell of a mess, though. And, it took a while to prep / cook. I expect it will go smoother next time.

    Here is what I made:

that feeling when u order delivery from a new place, and it’s trash as hell, so u slide it to the dogs and go right back to the Uber Eats app and order another thing from a restaurant u know is consistent

this must be a sign telling me to officially stop with these delivery apps

I would refrain from using an entire avocado, even half can be too much depending on the size. Too much will give it a gelatinous texture, but if you mess around and get it just right, it's creamy deliciousness. Just make sure that the fruits you are using are really ripe or naturally very sweet (pineapples, mango, etc.), too many berries or blandish fruits will also give it a poor taste.

Any difference in texture between frozen and fresh avocado?

I actually never tried that, but one of the fruits you use should be frozen. Ice kills the texture. Usually I allocate the frozen fruit to be blueberries and just include blueberries in pretty much every smoothie since they are so good for you, but using frozen avocados should work fine as long as you blend it properly.

$4.00 for a loaf of bread!

    I plan my meals more.
I cook at home more often.
    I don’t over-buy at the grocery store.
I buy lots of meat at Costco and freeze it.

Yesterday I bought two rotisserie chickens from Costco for $5 a piece. Cut em up and got all the meat off ‘em. Got 12 cups of meat, which I froze for future recipes.

I went to this Italian restaurant the other day and ended up spending $250, and I regret nothing. That food was so good it had me speaking in tongues.

I took that 1st bite, and a tear streamed down my face

In my original post, I said I was saying "FU" to deli meats and going with chicken. Apparently, I am not alone. CNN just reported that consumers were not buying deli meats and, instead, switching to canned tuna, hot dogs, and chicken. So, FU deli meats. You're overpriced.
