I can understand them wanting to give Vazquez a day to get to know the pitching staff, especially given that Javier isn't the easiest guy to catch.

I guess they could have started Mancini instead of Tucker tonight. Other than that, I don't see why you would sit Yuli or Diaz right now

 

I would say the situation very much warrants.
