I have a friend who needs some advice and I thought you guys might know About six months ago he employed an attorney who hired a private investigator who at that time was supposed to be investigating for him on a matter he needed. At this time he had a suspicion that his wife was being unfaithful to him, and we all told him something was strange. Make a long story short The PI who is 47 years old was caught sleeping with my best friends wife. Does my friend have any legal recourse on this? and if so can his Liscenes be removed? The scum bag was also married as well
So your friend knows that his wife was sleeping around now, right? Sounds like the PI went deep, deep, deep, .... undercover.
Oh one more thing the PI was a former DEA agent who was fired from the Dea for using money to buy strippers trips and new cars. My best friends wife is 26 and this old fart is 47.
There may not be any legal recourse, but I'd make a complaint to the state board that licenses private investigators. It may not come of anything, but there's no reason not to do it.
For what it's worth from an Assistant DA.... there may not be any legal recourse, but it could be an ethical violation of the type that would warrant pulling the license. My advice would be to contact the licensing board and file a formal complaint. Have your ducks in a row and be prepared to testify at a hearing, if need be. Good luck.
depends on the wording of the contract between the lawyer and the PI and the client and the lawyer. if the lawyer hired the PI without the clients approval, then the lawyer is liable for traumatic stress or whatever. the PI is liable depending on the contract at hand. If the contract states that he must perform certain duties and not get personally involved, then he is also liable to be sued or at least reprimanded. in the realistic sense though, the PI did proove that the wife was unfaithful, so the client did get his money's worth. She broke the marriage contract anyway, so if he gets a divorce, hopefully she can't claim half his stuff.
Except the woman would be justified in cheating with the PI cause the husband was beating her and lousy in bed. And she was never cheating in the first place, but going to the Oprah Book Club behind her husband's back. If he found out, he would kill her.
