how embarrassing it would be if the padres don't even make it to the playoffs this year lol. It's certainly not a given they make one of the wild card spots sports.

I don't think I would, but would you trade Urquidy for Blake Snell? Snell's results haven't been great recently, but the upside is unquestioned. Urquidy's got 2 extra years of club control, which I would imagine would be valuable to the Padres.

Astros need some sort of consistency in their lineup. Focus now should be a CF, send Meyers back down, keep McCormick as backup outfielder (not platoon with new CF), and let Mancini take over LF while Yordan DH. I don't see why we need 2 utility players, but it is what it is.

nope. snell is extremely overrated and hasn't been good for awhile. His reputation is extremely built upon his 1 good year with TB. He's no longer that

    Much rather have Urquidy easily

I don’t get the Snell love either, Urquidy has been so much better than him this year, is cheaper and under team control.

If you want Urquidy and his pet pig thrown into a deal you better be giving me something that's not a rental and an OPS north of .785, who plays CF.

Hosmer should be on his way to a 3rd team instead of wasting away on the Nats.

And for a pitcher who wouldn't even start for the Astros in the playoffs - Snell would be behind VJ, Framber, Javier, and McCullers in whatever order.

If you’re Hosmer, wouldn’t you want to play on that SD team? Pro sport is business so you do what’s best for your playing career. I would rather be on that Padres team over extra few millions.

Stros don't need to be focused on SP unless it's a clear upgrade like Rodon. Trading Snell for Urquidy literally does nothing for us, nevermind potentially making us worse.

It's painfully obvious that this lineup NEEDS another bat, especially if we've seen the last of Brantley. God I wish we still had Springer.

Why is Snell's upside better than Urquidy’s? Snell is owed SIXTEEN MILLION DOLLARS next season. Urguidy is under team control for 3 seasons after this one. Urguidy has been better this year and last.

I cannot say this emphatically enough… HELL NO!! Snell is so far removed from being anything resembling a good pitcher.

I think about having Springer all the time. It would change this team completely.

They still have to make the WS. They underperformed last year.

They would trade Urquidy for that CF who ever it is.

    And get Snell for peanuts

    Astros are intreasted in Snell.

This could be that move that makes u go OMG.

We still have to find that CFer.

    So that's what I'm saying.

    I could so see
Happ, Robertson and Givens for Urquidy and Maton

Then a Snell for McCormick trade
    Hunter Brown Called up

The Brantley and Castro to the DL Matejevic move down with Jones

This team then becomes odds on Favorite to be WS champs
